Berkshire Royal is still in there. I have not got a run into him, as he had stone bruise before Leopardstown. He did a bit of work yesterday and is in great shape. I think he is good enough but obviously he would lack huge experience. I ran Concertista first time out in the mares' novice last year and I could do the same with this fella, depending on how he works.
Mullins must have brought it up. Probably wont run but 100/1 NRNB
Very interesting!
I love a little 100/1 shot forum post, definitely backing it..... that last sentence from him is very interesting!!!
Abacadabras the forgotten horse in this? That Royal Bond form is surely the best novice form this season, with Darver Star's run in the Irish Champion.

I think there is a bit of recency bias in regards to the betting for this. Maybe Abacadabras was a touch too short a couple of months ago, but his form has been backed up and he'd be my winner if I had to pick now (talking a bit through my wallet) I would fear Asterion Forlonge the most of the others, not a shiskin fan at the price at all.
Abacadabras looking like the winner as they turn for home.
Asterion Forlonge taking off at the last in the lead, having won a battle with Master Debonair.
Edwardstone arrives late and picks them off for a bit of an upset, with Chantry House also right there.... confirming that Warwick Bumper to be a golden piece of form

This is where I am now. Think Asterion Forlonge lacks a small bit of experience for me, if Ruby was on him by god I'd be all over him. Will it be Davy on him?

This would be a blissful start to my festival as I’ve also got my conkers all around that CH, Edwardstone form line. I’ve got it clear in my head I’ll be backing Edwardstone in the extra places / wo Favs market / win on exchange market on the day as he’s not a sexy persons horse but will love the conditions posed in a supreme imo - really really hope CH comes here....

What are your thoughts on Master Debonair after Ascot Kev? Do I need to break up the band?
I’m very objective in my assessments and try to steer away from pocket talk so I was disappointed. The only thing I’m clinging to is the fact the ground was softer than he’d want and the extra distance and wind would not have been in his favour. Sporting John is also a very good animal and a cut above anything the Master had faced so far this season.

Abacadabras looking like the winner as they turn for home. Turn's out Q is right, he's a 'bridle bitch'
Asterion Forlonge is nowhere to be seen having looked all over the field 3f out.
Shishkin powers up the hill to just win it from Chantry House.

I think he traveled perfectly well, and would still think he'd be a lively outsider on better ground (at the shorter trip as you mentioned)
That said, I'd expect Sporting John to beat him over any trip and by therefore assume there will certainly be 'at least one too good'
At 66/1 I'll be leaving him backed, but he's no longer anything more than 'lively outsider'
I guess we were a one got wonder earlier in the season
