Shiskin*will probably run in the Sidney Banks Memorial Hurdle at Huntingdon on February 6th*and after a small hold up,*Chantry House*is back in action now and will be working next week. He’s got to go somewhere before Cheltenham so might finish up in the Dovecote Hurdle at Kempton on 22nd*February.

Personally more than happy with that Chantry House update as a Supreme and any race backer. Hendo said he picked up a cut that got infected a few weeks back. The fact he is going for the Dovecote suggest the Supreme is the plan which is much my preference. Not suggesting he is currently good value, but will be delighted if he lines up for race 1

I’m going for a horse that you’re probably tired of hearing me talk about and that is Jon Snow. He’s been third in his two starts over hurdles, over two miles in Cork. We got it wrong over Christmas with him giving him two and a half. He doesn’t need two and a half, he drops back to two miles on Saturday. In a double with Allaho, that could be profitable.

There’s a class 3 2m option at Sandown next weekend that would suit Chantry House perfect for me. Sandown is the closest match to Cheltenham in testing terms. Hopefully see an entry there next week. I’m becoming more quietly confident over his chances here should he line up!
