Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Surely a better approach is just to back what you fancy today. Let's say Ashdale Bob who was available at 10/1. Isn't it better to back him today and then decide if you want to back him at the Festival? He's 12/1 nrnb at the Festival, and was availbale at 10/1 today. If he wins today, what price does he go. 5/1, 6/1? If you still fancy him just back him nrnb with today's winnings for a bigger return.

I've tried to be selective with this approach, and generally its been a positive for me
I'd say it makes up 5% of my AP bets. I do agree with you that backing them in a single, and then having a choice whether you want to stick your winnings to follow up does have its advantage, despite the dent in the pts beign returned back going down this route

          Pick and choose I'd say

              • The 2 martin pipe double's look better value this morning given the support for them both to win today.
And both are rated mid 120's so a win and they are in the right range for the Martin Pipe, and both trainers would love a runner in a normal year and could get a decent conditional too.
                Very speculative.
But these bets are a bit of fun more than anything else.

Yes and no id say. They certainly can be a road to the poor house, and at a bigger base price I'd rather just back them ew for the festival.

But if you legit fancy the horse they can give you a big boost. I've gone from nothing having Kilcruit or Honeysuckle on board to having them 22/1 each.

Theres also the angle of when the on the day price changes. I felt i had enough on Quixilos for eg but French Asseel comes out but the Today & Fest price hadn't moved so it felt safer and more value.
