I'm not keen on the 'today' race and at the Festival approach. I think it's a good way to line the bookies satchels.
Surely a better approach is just to back what you fancy today. Let's say Ashdale Bob who was available at 10/1. Isn't it better to back him today and then decide if you want to back him at the Festival? He's 12/1 nrnb at the Festival, and was availbale at 10/1 today. If he wins today, what price does he go. 5/1, 6/1? If you still fancy him just back him nrnb with today's winnings for a bigger return.Luck is a dividend of sweat.
