Don't forget Riders Onthe Storm. It will be interesting to see how he gets on against Cyrname on Saturday. I just hope he doesn't have too hard a race with Cheltenham so close. I have all 3 in the book but am very much leaning towards APT. His price is shortening all the time and is now best priced at 3s.

Agree RE Rider Onthe Storm - if the battle against Cyrname is really tough I'd be doubtful about his Cheltenham chances.

I am sill a bit surprised that A Plus Tard is favourite. Have always thought, for whatever reason, that he’s just a tiny bit shy of the class to win this or the CC. Can’t decide whether I should get him on board at such a skinny price. Do feel he was flattered at Christmas and CPS has improved significantly since.
Has he inproved though? He beat an ageing horse who needs a little further these days

Not for me, but I see the appeal.

            Who? Chacun?

From Leop to Feb i'd say he's definitely improved.

Min is still a very good horse, and can do it over 2m. Cheltenham didn't prove anything last year, tactical f up.

Yeah, Personally didn't see anything at leapordstown to suggest he could reverse the form over A Plus Tard

Fair enough. A Plus Tard did have a prep run.....

                • Winners of the novice handicap chase have never won another festival race. Is A Plus Tard a stat buster?

                    155/170 A Plus Tard

Whether he does it or not you would have to say he has a strong chance and is rightfully where he is at in the market, the manner of his close bros win was above average

                        14 runnings ?
Not many horses outside of G1 company win multiple festival races, handicaps by their very nature especially...

If Riders Onthe Storm gets anywhere near beating Cyrname it'll be a monumental effort from him.

I don't have him in the same class at all, I expect him to get beat and go out to a reasonable price reflective of his actual chance.

Single figures for ROTS now I think is a horrid price.

If he beats Cyrname then I'll have to admit I was wrong which wouldn't be a huge shock but I don't see it myself for him.

                          • Kev - I have been thinking alot of saturday for ROTS also. Hes not been moved on alot today after the Defi news. Paul has said cyrname is prob unlikely to go to the festival. I think with Mins target not 100% known the top 10 in the betting will cut up massively.

I cant see 8/1 lasting long but i kind of hoping he gets lapped on saturday so hes a better price for this ? If hes within a few lengths or even beats cyrname then hes fav or joint favs with APT ??

Can’t bring myself to entertain ROTS getting anywhere near Cyrname
