Nobody can answer that unfortunately. I see what you are saying though and suspect they all would have won. As impressively, who knows.

    • Cracking run from Kalashnikov there with top weight. Probably don't see him a Ryanair horse myself, but think he'll be better suited to Aintree.

      • Thought it was a really encouraging run from Glen Forsa too. Travelled a bit too keen but had them all in trouble when outstayed. Not sure if it was the trip or his rivals being race fit but nice to see him put a good run in after disappointing at the spring festivals.

Neither are Cheltenham Festival winners in waiting are they - nice horses but last year was probably one to just ignore for anything we saw in that 2m novice chase division with a view to the future.

Not every year and crop can be decent.

I definitely don't think the best ones ran at the festival anyway... bar Defi in the 2m division

          • I noticed Might Bite is scheduled to race at Aintree on Saturday over 3 miles. I’ve always thought after last seasons timid finishes a drop back in trip would suit. Do you think if he was let loose at the front and confidently ridden he would have the pace to win a Ryanair? I think he could and preferred the tactics when he was allowed to dictate up front. He’s 50/1 for the Ryanair but I can’t see him coming here but if I owned I would

You need to go back to the opening post of this thread Pimm.

                • In that case I completely agree with what you posted Q about Might Bite 22 pages back

I didn’t realise he was 11, I reckon they will aiming at a shit or bust Grand National tilt with him then if they are racing him at Aintree this Saturday. It makes sense, he’s always been a very exuberant jumper and likes to gallop, if he can steer his way through the pack he could have a real live chance. I’ll leave the 50’s for the Ryanair for now

                  • Get Clan Des Obeaux priced up.

He'll go close but not win the King George and will run here.

Someone request it and demand 50/1

                    • Anyone an idea whether B365 are likely to suspend this market during the Tingle Creek on Saturday? Have Min in the book already but I'd be keen to be hovering over him for a good top up if Defi looks to have the pace for 2m going forward! No doubt Min's price will be gone Sunday if he hacks up.

I'd have thought they'll freeze Defi in particular rather than the whole race

Actually think Min will bypass Cheltenham altogether and wait for Aintree/Punch. Looks a much better horse on easier/ flat tracks. Think Ryanair may be just too much for him at Cheltenham and that hill despite him running good races in past over 2

I think it's a realistic possibility, especially if Footpad is in good form too, WPM can take the JLT @ Cheltenham with one and then @ Aintree with the other

                            • I'd say it's unlikely to happen personally.

He mentioned the likelihood of Douvan needing dropped in trip, Chacun is probably also QM bound. I'd say Min goes to Ryanair alright. He still won easy at Aintree.
Ricci will want winners, and to do that he needs runners.

He finished 2nd twice behind the best horse of the last decade at Cheltenham. He wasn't himself last year but I think the fact 2m is clearly too sharp a trip for him now had something to do with that. The 2nd behind UDS at Punchestown backs that up. I'd fancy him for the Ryanair myself.
