Mister Coffey
realised £340,000 to a bid from Tom Lacey, who will take over his training from Harry Whittington.
“He’s a lovely horse and Harry would have done a good job bringing him through his 3-year-old year,” said Lacey. “He’s very athletic and a big, tall frame of a horse. You’re paying for the potential, but I liked the look of him and I like the sire. I think Authorized is a super sire.”https://scooby91horseracingtips.com/

All I ever read was him going to Hendo, and for that I put him up and backed him accordingly at 66's for the Supreme.https://scooby91horseracingtips.com/

Looking at last season's Festival winners in another way, I was struck that there were 14 French bred and 14 Irish bred (and thus no GB bred) winners. Digging a little deeper I came across this article which makes interesting reading:

From what I’ve read British owners and trainers are more interested in winning prize money than earning money from breeding so tend to geld early. In comparison the French either send their horses racing earlier than the norm over hurdles and fences and geld later. So it’s not so much that French and Irish horses are necessarily better than British horses but the breeding market in France & Ireland is much substantive and dominant so they produce more horses.
