It would be the path they took with Sprinter, he turned 10 the day he last ran, Altior would just be a couple of weeks shy of 10 himself on that day. I guess it depends how he runs at Cheltenham, he could have a day like Sprinter or a day like Kauto.

I'm delighted that he's only getting one entry.
Been adament he'd not go Ryanair and secretly been really worried about being wrong
I've got 3 pts on at 15.5/1 from the double with Cyrname (not after timing as I posted it beforehand for any stray dogs reading) but I can't say I'm overjoyed at his prospects.
The closer we get to the race, the more I reckon I'll end up thinking he's just not the force of old and Archie's right about him (that he's been below/on the decline for 2 seasons).
I want that not to be the case, and I want that run behind Cyrname to still be top class, but it's just not is it? He's just not as good as I thought he was
3/1f now and any shorter he gets is surely just people wanting to be part of history, rather than anyone thinking about making proper money?

But Chacun has disappointed, and A Plus Tard has not been consistent.
And Defi's form with an older Un de Sceaux and Politologue doesn't really match up.
Cilaos Emery is the only one not to have blotted his copy book.
All this takes into account that you think Altior is still close to as good as ever.
I personally think he is/or there's no reason to think not, and the run vs Cyrname reads well if you look at cyrnames form last season on the same course and distance against similar animals Defi has beaten.
And I'm in the Nico bad ride camp for last season's Champion, as there's no way some of that shite should have been that close to him. and this year he should be sent on much earlier.
I also think there's a decent chance Defi still goes Ryanair.
But this might also mean Chacun looks shit hot in Dublin too.

Has anyone got anything on this? Hopefully just a rumour.
Henderson has expanded on this morning's initial statement along the lines of his saddle hurt his absess again so the horse looked like he was sulking, but his bloods and everything were normal.

Will Frank Berry agree?
Appears majority think CC ?
Vested interest here as in doubles with Envoi Allen @10/1 and Defi 8’s in Ryanair

Chacun Pour Soi and Altior both have got to impress at 2 miles next time for me to strongly fancy either of them again. (Although I don't need to and won't back any of them at current prices regardless)
Defi Du Seuil has the form in the book in my opinion, and to an extent so does A Plus Tard relative to the other two.... neither are certain runners though!
