Very good reasoning. Still think they will take their chances with Defi in CC now whatever the ground but agree he will struggle to beat Altior and Chancun.
and that's a Dichotomy.
How's the time machine going Lobos,
with the us and them form for ornua today ?
You daft sod.
Although at least you know Us and Them is not a backable proposition tomorrow now.

Sometimes these horses make real idiots of us........not hard on my account! I'll take it on the chin. Got it wrong too many times to remember and I'm sure there'll be plenty more to come. Love this game though !
Ultimately if people are wrong then it will cost them money, I think that’s why people can get a bit prophetic. All my bets on Defi are for the Ryanair, I didn’t think he would go back in trip this season but I think he handled 2 mile very well, like Altior he can accelerate over the last 2 fences and burn horses off. He was nearly caught today so either he went too early or this his optimum?? Last season he improved with every race and peaked at the Festival. He got stuffed by CCS but that was in Ireland. The first time we may see CCS at Cheltenham will probably be at the Festival if he gets there which is DDS’s favoured course and surely he will have much more going in his favour. I think he could win either the QMCC or Ryanair if he stays fit, he’s at his peak and I’m all over him when NRNB comes out and will be a banker for me.
UDS ran an absolute cracker of a race, btw what a horse he has been for connections, absolute joy to watch! Defi did well to grind it out, not sure what they will do with him but can’t be bad to have 2 races he can potentially target looks like he could do either. Waiting Patiantly ran a blinder as well and was not stopping at the line, frustrating horse just with not seeing him as much but definitely has a lot of talent. The rest finished as I expected, Ornua last as I had no doubt confirming the terrible 2milers last season.
As nice as your post is Q, what Hobbsy wants isn't the defining factor.
Yet another example of why we dont need the Ryanair. Going for the soft option is pants. Win a 2m G1 and you should be FORCED to run in the QMCC
Did they say where he goes next?
Will he clash with Altior before March?
That'd be the decision maker ... he isn't going to meet the Irish before then.
And off on a tangent, how close is Defi getting to being a SUPERSTAR. If he wins a 3rd festival race and LIT wins a Gold Cup he's gonna be the best we have?
I might go back and find all the slagging I did of him in his juvenile year about his jumping

I def think Defi goes QM now.....rematch with Chacun be tough, but exciting.....amazing in Altior goes
Win and Defi is a serious superstar.....would be 3 different races at festival.....not many do that. In recent times, most obvious are Altior and Tiger.....not bad company to keep if he does it
Always thought he would go 2m and was my first bet for QM since season started.....I think Min wins Ryanair.....so deserves festival win and be the class in that race....tho it’s a race I want to keep
Ornua is guff....50/1 would have been better 200/1
Ornua is a grade 1 Maghull Chase winner hardly guff. He wasted a lot of energy pre race 1 and was extremely lit up. It was no surprise at all too see him go out like a light following his pre race antics.

Just admit when you are wrong mate, no point trying to gloss over it. He beat a terrible bunch of 2milers to win his grade 1.
You said he needed a break hard season and was coming back fresh and was going to run a big race, in sorry but last tailed off is nothing to try and defend regardless of his antics.
Don't actually see Defi as a good bet, this being from the one who put him up for the JLT at 50's last season (yes I'm living off that )
I just think better company at the festival will a too much of an ask for him, as opposed to beating a bunch of novices.
I wouldn’t say he can’t win and I wouldn’t say he will win mate. Think the horse is a bit special though, brilliant in his triumph year and as most do had a bad year after.
Since then he hasnt looked back since going over fences. JLT looks the strongest novice from last season at present, he will be a player whichever race Hobbs (JP) decides he runs in.

I don't think he'll be a million miles away, but I don't think he'll win either, provided either of the races he potentially could contest have their strongest fields available to them of course

I said I thought Defi Du Soleil was the likliest winner of the race I was correct.
I dont need to defend anything. Ornuas chance was clearly dented by his pre race antics. 50/1 was a fair price and it returned at half those odds. I was completely happy with the bet to be honest.
