If Slate house ran really well last time, I would say Copperhead goes for the 4 miler but Copperhead is much shorter in the betting than slate house is for the RSA. Given he may not be able to secure a top jockey, I think Copper head will go RSA.....iv not backed him for either, wish I had before today though.

Reading Tizzard (see 4 miler thread) I’d say Copperhead goes there - providing they get a suitable jockey.

He might be publically 'fishing' for a jockey...
If one approaches him, it may make their mind up...
He certainly doesn't have an obvious candidate lined up anyway... but Codd on Le Breuil last year means that just because it's not a long term plan doesn't mean it can't come off!

Completely agree about the fishing. I haven't backed him but he is a leading contender for either race. Doubt we will know until 3 weeks from now

I believe Minella should be favourite for the RSA. What is there not to like about him ? What holes can be picked ??? We have a fake favourite here with a hell of a lot to prove. For me at the prices, Minella is the best bet of the meeting.

I couldn’t disagree more.
How on earth should Minella Indo be shorter than Champ? What piece of form over fences makes him a shorter price than Champ?

I could ask the same thing regarding Champ. Every race he runs he looks vulnerable. Every race he runs he makes mistakes. And let me ask you something ........ What has Champ beat in his racing life ???? The horse is a myth being priced on his connections and name. I hear a lot of people talking about champs so called good form....... he’s beat Black op over 2 mile 4 for god sake. I’ll ask again like I have in the past ..... when did Black op become a superstar to base all relevant form around ??? Another point I’ll add, go have a look at the Ballymore last year and ask yourself an honest question ..... did Champ finish his race like he wanted the extra furlongs he’s going to get in the RSA ?? Didn’t look that way to me.
