Ive had battle for this at 33s as a single and 33s in a double with champ classic, im ok with those bets but im not keen on him now, i dont fancy champ at all i think hell unseat or fall at some point, do we think easy game will come here? He was finishing strongly in the flogas coming to the finish like a train! Other then that whats everyone thinking for this race at this moment in time?

Going back to the Reynoldstown in 2014, is where the last winner went of to win at the festival (O'Faolains Boy beat Many Clouds)
A few 2nd places have done better though...
Minella Rocco was 2nd in 2016, went on to win the NH Chase. Bobs Worth 2nd in 2012 before his RSA win.
Another 2nd, Ms Parfois went on to be 0.5L second in the NH Chase too.
Last year Mister Malarky and Now Mcginty were 1-2 and didn't really get involved in a hot RSA.
Not the best trial in the history of the world but a nice trial nonetheless.
Current ante post market:
5/2 - Sam Brown
5/2 - Pym
11/4 - Copperhead
6/1 - Two For Gold
13/2 - Danny Whizzbang
16/1 - Captain Drake
25/1 - Alsa Mix
Pym is generally 2/1f. My main fancy would be Sam Brown but not had a bet yet at the weekend.
Anyway, this is an ante post thread, so given the market above, what are the best RSA prices?
Sam Brown (12/1 NRNB) (10/1)
Copperhead (16/1 NRNB) (16/1)
Pym (16/1 NRNB) (20/1)
Does lend itself to my view Sam Brown is the best prospect of them, but anyway.....
As NRNB bets, Pym surely has no hope of running here unless he wins?
Copperhead you can't be certain Tizzard won't put him in the RSA regardless?
Sam Brown is not exactly screaming value, and they seem pretty sure he needs soft or heavy... so while he may not be risky, he's not sexy enough to really, really shorten is he?
Not that much risk backing all 3 and cashing out if you can.... I personally had a decent bet on Sam Brown Any Race, but that may not be the best move due to the ground? Too short to really get on board with though.
The one that does stand out a bit is Danny Whizzbang at 33/1 NRNB (RSA) - he's loads shorter in the NH Chase market, and I suppose that's his most likely target... but if he does absolutely hose up here, Nicholls would consider him for the RSA?
Pym isn't entered in the NH Chase that I can see, and Sam Brown is 12/1 NRNB best price.
Does anyone fancy anything strongly before this race, for the festival?
The only one really for me is Danny Whizzbang at 33/1 NRNB (RSA) but it's not one i've rushed to back whilst thinking out loud....

More likely to be a handicapper for me at this stage but no harm is being wrong this way

I'm going to back Tornado Flyer NRNB at 50/1 for this.
Mullins highest ever rated bumper horse. He has been getting the trip wrong, as with plenty of bumper horses.... he might need a trip.
Willie has worked out he's not a two miler....
He ran in the Flogas, beaten 6.5L behind Faugheen.....
RP comments:
Chased leaders, 4th halfway, close 3rd before 3 out where mistake, close 4th 2 out, soon ridden and switched before last, no impression on leaders in 3rd run-in, kept on same pace (op 8/1)
I am convinced he's got more ability than he's shown so far.
He placed in the Cheltenham Bumper and if he lines up here, no Willie Mullins Grade 1 winning horse (and Grade 1 placed chaser) should be 50/1 in a race

Im trying to find something for this race and for me its not Pym he doesnt seem to have the class needed for this, usually these horses that win & hit the frame go on to much bigger things. So without being horrible i cant have him. I think Black Op makes some appeal he jumps very well and stays nicely over 3miles my only concern is he may prefer a flatter track
