He fell too early to find out if he would have found anything up the hill. His jumping has not been good enough in 3 chases to not at least consider switching bacj to hurdles. Its better to have a grade 1 winner over hurdles than a grade 1 loser over fences. I couldnt imagine that they wont at least give it some serious consideration.

No doubt Champ would have pissed up had he stayed on his feet, but I wouldn't back him at 3/1, too many question marks at that price. No idea if he is alright after the fall and still hasn't tried 3 miles. He pinged the seventh in front of the stands and jumped the eighth beautifully which lit him up. When Barry asked he jumped well, but he was in at the bottom of two fences, was low and brushed through the top of three fences and jumped markedly out the left at two fences (obviously less of an issue at Cheltenham).

It’s got to be 100% now it goes rsa providing the horse is ok,the longer the distance will be better for the horse.
I must have been watching a different race , pings a few, stutters a few , not fluent
I’m on at 10’s and seriously thinking of cashing

Henderson just said the horse is fine and will now go up to 3 miles, phew!! What do people on here think of maybe putting blinkers on champ with what Geraghty saying he was having a good look around coming to the 2nd last? Could be Geraghty making excuses up for his own mistakes I know but think it could be an idea.

ET "if" and i know its a big "if" he would of stayed on his feet what sort of rating do you think he would of got??
You can pick holes in him with regards price thats absolutely fair, but you do seem to be against the horse and his obvious class edge. I think he would of won between 6-8 lengths without being flat out giving 5lbs so i reckon he might of been pushing 163 plus. I realise its all speculation but that is how good this horse is. On the day his jumping let him down but he has a serious engine.
