No I would never back a horse that I didnt think was a natural jumper in a race like the RSA. These types get found out when it matters.

    • Sometimes you just have to sit back and chuckle at certain posters on here.

The idea that Champ will be a ‘33/1 no hoper’ in the RSA whilst DW is being lauded round the Cotswolds in March as ‘the banker of the meeting’ is amusing content I have to say.

On the comedic scale would you say that its more or less funny than the last opinion you found so amusing when I claimed Altior would never win another race and may be retired before the season ends?

Never? Every horse has their price in my opinion.

I remember a very similar debate with scooby about Presenting Percy at 40/1 for the RSA and we decided to end the debate there as it was clear we'd never agree on this point.

I feel this has also run its course regarding Champ

A further polite reminder that debate must be sensible and respectful of others views and opinions.

This is a great place to discuss racing, exchange thoughts and learn something that will help us all win, this is not a place to be disrespectful or antagonistic.

            • Pym seemed to do that well again today, jumping well for the most part.

Seems a much better chaser than hurdler.

His price isn’t great now for this but could we see him becoming a player in this?

              • The King Pym was impressive again, he jumps very well. Not sure if he had the power to win the RSA but he can definitely compete

                • would have thought Pym could step up again in trip again, Nat hunt must be a possibility.

I thought that but I can’t find him in any National Hunt markets which is strange given he’s won over 3mile at Cheltenham and many of the others in the current NH market have not run 3 miles or above not won a chase race yet

Possible but not likely, nico de boinville's ride and he needs one in the RSA.

                      • finishes his races off really strongly, been well touted in the past, seems like the nat hunt would be his best chance.

Maybe so, but you have to run in it, to have any chance at all.

                          • Maybe the horse of Alan kings that beat him, and finished behind champ, could go under the radar for something like the ultima or the NH chase.

Saying that , hes currently 1 pound over for the nov handicap chase on day 1.

Exactly my thoughts Nico will need the ride if bright forecast is staying over hurdles.

Will be on to keep an eye on.

                              • I don't know whether to risk Winsdor Avenue at 33/1 before he runs today.

I backed Sam Spinner and I'm not too pleased that I've done that..... but if one wallops the other I'd be happy?

and if they finished close I'd probably be happy?

Neither win an RSA do they. Move on.
