    • I really liked that performance yesterday hard to see him not being a big player if lining up in March. As someone who is not on in any meaningful sense (couple of small free bets and that double) plenty of food for thought before he lines up again.

      • Blake’s assessment of the educational aspect of yesterday’s run made the debut all the more impressive IMO

I’d expect him to win but I’ve written off the RSA for him now. Fiddlerintheroof in the first looks like a nice Tizzard/Power double.

Trying to behave on the betting front for a few weeks. Got a bit of ink booked for Dec after she gave me the go a head
But can always find a few £ for a bet

Tizzard yard in pretty dire form but at least these two have had a run already.

One of my favourites. He was very unlucky when suffering a tiny knee fracture when falling on his Chepstow chasing debut last season. Everything has gone well since his return and he’s been schooling away fine, so following a racecourse gallop at Wincanton at the weekend he’s just about ready to start. We’ll go back novice chasing, starting somewhere small and then hopefully creep up. Despite his obvious lack of experience he possesses a huge amount of ability.

Excellent. Just what I wanted to hear.

Eddie O’Leary concluded: “We certainly won't run Samcro and Battleoverdoyen against each other in the Drinmore. Hopefully Samcro will get there in one piece. We might look at the Florida Pearl [at Punchestown on November 17] for Battleoverdoyen. He wants three miles.”

                          • Cap York didn't give Battleoverdoyen's form any sort of franking at all today.

He's pencilled in for the Florida Pearl on Sunday so we'll get an even better idea then I suppose.

Glamorgan Duke up in the next, will also guide.
Although to be fair to Battleoverdoyen, he wasn't really asked any questions and only did what was neccesary.
But would certainly be nicer for backers to see beaten horse running well.

                              • Really looking forward to the Florida Pearl on Sunday. I have a feeling there will be no middle ground with BOD after that and he will either win and be a hugely exciting RSA prospect, or lose convincingly and go down as one to forget with a view to the RSA. Obviously hoping for the former, let's see what happens
