New favourite for this race.
And guessing no-one on here is on it.
I checked COD's list and he hasn't - and he's a good gauge cos he backs everything.
I almost backed her before the race today but the prices were already short enough, so settled for some multiples with her for today alone.
In all seriousness I left Princess Zoe and Shewearsitwell because it was just too early for me (which may surprise you).
I backed Hook Up only so far as 50's was an insult in line with her Burning Victory form on debut. She'll be a load better than the Triumph defeat, and turns out there was an reason/excuse for that.
There are a few others I'm interested in but not until entries.
Willie seemed surprised by it - which to me means he thinks he has loads better at home.
That's probably the automatic reaction when you haven't heard of a horse that goes fav though right?
Did you not listen to the post race interview, he wasn’t surprised at all, potentially thinks she’s one of the best novice hurdlers in the yard, deliberately kept her for the best novice hurdle available and looking at the royal bond with her... but sure there is probably more to come

I did listen to it, on RTV, he literally said the performance surprised him?
Then he went on to talk about Saint Roi when asked.
Apologies if I've misheard it, not trying to put anyone away - but I'd swear he literally said the performance surprised him.
I might need to go get my ears checked if I've got that wrong
He said he had the feeling she was the best novice mare in the yard (of the summer ones I assume) so was kept for this race - but she suprised him in the manner she won today with the depth of the race. There is a grade 3 mares hurdles at Down Royal he mentioned and also the Royal Bond. Full interview below.

I think the race may have been better than Saint roi's in terms of her opponents potential in particular.
She battered them in a super quick time.
It sounds like she may go up in trip come the spring, but that will depend on her next couple of starts I suppose. If she keeps winning at 2 miles that is. It's not a surprise that Townend thought she was going as quick as she can, cos she went as quick as any, on the clock.
At this level (grade 3) on this track over the last 10 years or so in any case. And the ground was not super fast either.

I posted in the Ch thread, but i can only find when Joey sassa beat Wicklow and Sharjah quicker in last 5 years. Must of easily ran to mid-high 130s today and 140 is usually good enough to be bang there for this race. She has been very impressive on what she has shown and if this had been a couple of months later in the season she would probably be getting more attention.

Up in trip in the spring would of course suit the MNH Quevega being 2m4f. Will have to get her onside, to be fair if Willies talking about Royal Bond with her he must think a lot of the mare.

16s with 365 this morning, a general 14s. Potentially she could go to the Royal Bond and get beaten by the boys(whoever that may be) and maybe get dismissed a bit. Lots of ifs and buts thus far out.
I looked and wasn't priced up any race. Or any other novice race.
Just the mares novice at 14's best price I think.
was 33's in August before her last win.
It's a shame I'm not on, as I like a horse with a song attached.
