It was over 2M5F, and after 2M or even 2M2F she was hacking along, I am completely ignoring the last part of the race, as it really isn’t that important when the Mares Novice is over 2M&175yds.
That's an optimistic way of looking at it and IMO flawed.
Hacking along like that would leave her way behind in a mares novice, no matter what the trip is.
Willie rescued the bets for me with his comments, without him being involved it was a cash out all day long.
They clearly think a lot of her.
But she's got to come on a far bit from that.

Very flawed i thought. Hack cantering over 2m in a 2m5 race offers little evidence to go off surely. Bar she stays 2m, but we know that as she finished the actual race over 2m5 .
If anything you'd point towards the sectionals of the race + indicate that it's clear she was out on her feet at the finish + that she'd be better over 2m.

141 rated floressa definitely has a chance in this having seen all the contenders (I think) and that also brings in silver forever rated 143. I do like minella melody though - watched her last run back and think she won snugly

If Floressa wins it i will be very disappointed. I'd say that would put this renewal down there with the worst we've seen in it's young history.

Last years winner wasnt great jack - look at the rating and what shes done since
Good point, i forgot about last years when saying that. Was listening to Joe Chambers and he mentioned Limini so she sprung to mind! Still Floressa's no great shakes IMO.
Don't think the winner of last years has had an easy campaign this year having to carry more weight than stormy twice.
Hoping Concertista can revive her once prominent position in the betting for this race today.
She disappointed in her seasonal debut and the form hasn't stacked up since but her run last time out was much better where she travelled well until just coming under pressure at the final hurdle. The 2 in front of her were Mt Leinster and Entoucas so no disgrace being beaten by that pair at all. Form lines which feature the top 2 in the 2m grade 1 novice hurdle on todays card. Importantly the big field (27 runners) and even more so better ground should play to her strengths in conditions similar to her 2nd place finish in the Mares Novice last season.
Think she's got a good chance today at double figures into a handicap for the first time.
