I'd imagine Concertista has either not stayed or wasn't fit there. The two that've won there are average enough. Henry's drifted like not expected of much and her other challenger was a faller.

Not sure how good value of last years Mares Novice is.....winner was not great other day

It’s the second time Larqubuse has finished like an absolute train, the first time she only got second this time she got up to win.

Outside of those two finishes she’s been a pretty uninspiring mare

The winner was giving 6pds to Stormy Ireland though! She only finished 2.25Ls behind Reserve Tank at Punchestown. Judging by the fact they let her run with the weights against her and the way she dropped away i'd say she needed the run. She'll also want a trip this year too.

The only thing we learned there is the strong travelling concertista doesn't want 2 1/2 on heavy ground. Which I expect we all knew but she needed a run.

Obviously 33s now, and is a huge price.

To assume Mullins can't get her to peak in March would be madness and if she reproduces last years 2nd, I don't know if that'd be good enough, but at 33/1 I'll pay to find out

Entry on Thursday at Thurles (along with Dolcita). Hopefully we get to see her out

Managed to pinch some 12's before it went. Caved in on GI as well today. My 💰 moved market by the looks of it !

Yes - I'm on as well. Massive over reaction, She was nowhere near today and will be a different horse on better ground if she gets to March. The added advantage is that today makes the possibility of her going for The Mares Hurdle less likely. Great e/w bet. The problem with a lot of the selections put forward for this race is that they are NOT trained by Willie Mullins. When will you learn?

Think 33-1 is an over reaction.
But - that wasn't good today. Whatever way you want to excuse it.
It doesn't take much imagination to consider the form of last years mares novice to be a little off/obscure.
It's about who progresses I suppose.
And they all deserve a chance to improve over the season.

Agree but this feels different especially in this race and this early and, most importantly, without even seeing her this season. Think she must be special. Envoi like!
