  • I’ve got a nice little roll up going onto PZ in the MNH, any advice on whether to cash out now or wait, based on the news today would be appreciated.

There's a fair chance she finishes in the money, G1 blacktype, risky enough to go hurdling then too.
She didn't look to be stopping over 2m1 on soft at Galway, for all that was only off 83 lol.

            • I’m not sure if she’s been discussed yet but I backed Coquelicot for this race after the positive comments I’ve read about her in the Mark Howard ‘One Jump Ahead’ book. Everything is against her in this race (stats wise, small stable trainer in Anthony Honeyball) but this maybe the year that Willie Mullins stranglehold on the race. She was 33/1 and will probably be twice the price on the day or not be there but the write up’s read well.

                • Tony Mullins conforming that if Zoe wins the Cadran then he “will sit down with the owners and they may have to have a rethink” about hurdling.
This was on The Finishing Line youtube channel just released.

                      Sorry to sound so defeatist
Every season you see and read about some really good juvenile mares and think they have a good chance at the Festival and Willie Mullins cleans up!! The write up of Coquelicot sounded very positive and I’ll be looking forward to watching her race and progress (and then getting stuffed on March 18th!!)

                        • Working my way through One Jump Ahead and just reading about Brandy Love.

She does seem like she will have a big future.

One thing I’ve taken from it though is she was only bought in Feb and with the season cut short hasn’t had a bumper run. Do we think she’ll bypass her bumper season? Is this some thing WPM would normally do?

If not she may not be seen over hurdles until the 21/22 campaign. Just a thought for those that have backed her with this in mind.

Spectre said that her target is the Novice Mares in March. That said, you can back her at 25/1 TWAR with Hills which is as big as her Novice Mares price so you have that option if you like.

                            • Hurdles was what I was told but I'd still recommend TWAR if you have the option. Although I'm inclined to side with the info, ultimately it'll be down to whether they want to take their time with her or not whatever the early view is/was. There's every chance Willie will change his mind three times before she runs this season.
