Another consideration for Gypsy Island is that she was foaled on 1st Jan 2014, most NH horses are foaled much later in the year so she will have a physical advantage over her novice opponents.
Of course had she been foaled 24 hours earlier it would have been a serious breeding cock up....Comment

When you consider the maiden this mare won against the boys the other day. (same race some good novices have won in the past)
20-1 each way in an 8 runner mares novice race seems big to me ?
However, there's every chance that PP and some of the others going big prices are aware of a likely non runner also

Not quite up there with some of the entries and potential runners over the weekend but, and I never thought i'd be saying this...
the entries to a Mares Maiden Hurdle aren't too far behind and made me very happy seeing. Of course in the end Mullins ended up having the 1-2 in the race anyway but it felt like we were waiting all through the season to see THE and in the end any Mullins horse for this.Comment
