Although Sullivan could have asked Townend the question ? and not got the desired answer so told him to get on his bike for now. And told walsh it's his ride for the taking.

Same happened with Davy Russell around this time when asked about Presenting Percy or Monalee I think.
Don't want a brand newbie sitting on their horse on the big day.
Scooby alluded to it earlier today and it's took a while for me to put 2x2 but this might explain it.
Or be total nonsense

I'd like that theory to be true.
Freaking bold of Paul Townend to commit himself to a horse who hasn't been declared for a race yet let alone won one for Willie though, over the ante post fav in the race
Love it to be true, has to be bollocks.

Who knows it's possible. Especially since JOS is heavily involved in the French market.

I’ve just read on Twitter the Racing Post Willie Mullins column headlines which say ‘Yukon Lil the pick of our trio in the Solerina’
WPM Quote ”She won by 12 lengths and the runner up has won since, which is encouraging”
I can’t open it to read it as I am not an Ultimate Member (just standard member), but it looks obvious now, they think Yukon Lil is better than Dolcita tomorrow. That’s why Paul Townend is on him.
And, if he is Willies best one tomorrow, for the races best trial, then 20/1 was big this morning, when the decs came out."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

Looks like Dolcita will be up in smoke though if that turns out to be correct

THE Grade 3 Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle (2.10), which tops the bill at Fairyhouse today, looks a competitive running of the 2m2f event and I run three in the race, all of whom have realistic chances.
Paul Townend has gone for Yukon Lil, who was a very useful performer in bumpers before winning in good style on her hurdles debut at Naas last month. She won by 12 lengths and the runner-up has won since, which is encouraging. She’s going up two furlongs in trip and that shouldn’t be an issue, while the forecast yielding to soft ground should be fine for her.
Danny Mullins had a big day on Thursday when he won the Thyestes on Total Recall and he rides Colreevy, whom he won on easily over 2m4f at Limerick last month. She’s in good form but might prefer more testing ground and a longer trip.
Dolcita was placed a couple of times in France last season and started off well for us when scoring by 11 lengths at Tramore last month. It’s hard to know what to make of that form, but she’s a mare we like a lot and Mark Walsh rides. We’re going to learn a lot more about her level of ability.

Cast your mind back to last years race
2 lengths covered first 4 horses, prices were 50/1 66/1 40/1 25/1
I’m no stato but not many results like that at the Festival over the years
So odds and result were not allied
Fav was EPATANTE 15/8 finished 9/22
Ruby’s choice was My Sister Sarah 13/2. finished 7/22
So jockey booking irrelevant
Beg to disagree with Scooby post 1
For me this race is a fascinating conundrum , will Mullins dominance be broken ?
Elliot loves Daylight Katie
Marie’s Rock big market support ( I know Scooby I cashed one of two 33’s )
Floressa Donny today
What is happening with The Glancing Queen ?
Oh and there’s Lobos and Minella
The muddied waters hopefully will be a little clearer after this weekend ?
Maybe
