Hope you're right Ray. I see shes backed into 6-5 from 2-1 with PP for tomorrows race - haven't looked at oddschecker though to check other bookies

    • Ruby had tipped up Yukon as well but said there is nothing between Willie's 3

        • There could be a number of reasons for the jockey bookings and we may never know.

Just need to see what happens in the race now. All 3 have put up visually impressive displays. HdB’s mare looks decent but will be up against it giving weight to all of mullins and only seemed to scrape home last time. Not a forgone conclusion Mullins wins, it’s likely but not definite.

          • I am actually really glad Dolcita is being properly tested before Cheltenham. Its a far more competitive race than the one Laurina won and if she beats that lot tomorrow she becomes a deserved favourite. I'd rather know where I stand now that go to Cheltenham unsure.

I think her potential and lack of exposure means she should be Even money and would have been had townend been riding.
Can't work out the jockey thing at all, and where Mark Walsh has come from for the Sullivans,
But I'm going to take a chance on the 15/8 and have a 4pt on her.

              • Walsh has an excellent strike rate for Mullins. 9/21 this season, mostly shorties as it's only about £1 profit (to a £1 stake on each ride)

                • Broken record.

Another example that Paul Townend does NOT get to pick which horses he rides for Willie in the same way Ruby did.

That's fair enough, but why Walsh on a sullivan horse.

Best jockey available that didn't have a ride?

I'd imagine the Sullivan team don't care.... if they're with Willie, it's assumed they'll get what they're given unless they have a retainer...

The one thing you'd be confident of, is that they haven't said they definitely want Paul T on board...... but I'm sure he'll still ride plenty for them.

Totally agree. Brilliant race tomorrow....can't imagine the race in March would be much better.

                            • Paul Townend has won 25 times from 57 rides for Sullivan Bloodstock Ltd in the last 5 years.

The next most wins for them is Ruby with 7, in 5 years.

Mark Walsh has had 1 ride and no wins for them in 5 years.
