Shes was clever when she got close to a couple too.
Looks strong in the front legs too, so don't seem to take much out of her when jumping fences.
God knows what trip she'll go
      Gut says here?

Samcro looks more dangerous than Fakir D'oudaries

I'm sure they won't be thinking about that this far out, but I am

      • Lovely jumping display from Laurina there. 4/1 for the Arkle now with B365. Be interesting to hear what willie says afterwards

        • Love that from the mare

She's hardly been cut for the JLT at first sight so bookmakers think Arkle too.

Agree Archie, nice start for Laurina but I still doubt she’ll have the pace for an Arkle.

Disagree quite strongly actually. Arkle winner for me.

She could go either. Market strongly saying arkle. Willie said anything yet?

Mullins said: "That was a very good first run from her over fences. She showed a lot of speed albeit against a three-mile horse. She did everything very satisfactorily and is one to look forward to for the year, with the long-range plan probably the mares' chase at Cheltenham [in 2021].
"She's one we're excited about. I wouldn't mind going back to two miles but Paul thought today's trip was probably what she wants. She'll be adaptable in terms of trip and can go out in distance, but the way she jumps fences I think she can go over shorter."

That was a very good first run over fences. She showed a good bit of toe albeit against a three-mile horse," said Mullins.

“She is one to look forward to with the long range plan probably the mares chase at Cheltenham in 2021!

“She’s the type of mare you look for to go chasing with. She’s a fine big mare that can take fences in her stride. She’s one that we are excited about.

“I wouldn’t mind going back to two miles but Paul thought that trip is probably what she wants. She’s adaptable in trip and can go out in distance as well but the way she jumps fences she could come back in trip.

“The obvious target would be the (Grade 1 2m3f novice) race in Limerick but I think Faugheen might be going there.

“There may be a race for mares that we could look at even a race not against novices.”

                      • She was able to go the pace in the CH wasn't she?

The faster they go, the easier she'll lob along?

Saying she's never an Arkle horse is a bit much. If she was thought of by Willie Mullins as good enough to be a Champion Hurdle horse, there is definitely a CHANCE she's an Arkle horse.

JLT makes more sense on the balance of her form though... I'd think she's worthy of placing at least in either!

....and based on those comments.... we won't have a clue where she's going until declarations for the festival

I'm not even going to get involved for a month now on which race she'll go to

I'd be pretty confident arkle. But time will tell.

                            • My big question mark over Laurina is still; how many times has she been off the bridle? She looks fantastic going through her races but the only time she really had a competitive race, her finish did not match her travel.

She was all wrong in the Churdle. That was not her race.
