COD, we are all grateful for your Laurina running plans info, it's in valuable to know this before the market reacts to the news. This sort of news is the lifeblood of the forum. Its up to us individually to decide what to do with early info drops coming in. Thank you for sharing your insight as early as you have done. Great team player.

Good to hear TR... one I've already backed. Think he's a very nice horse.
With Laurina I have a couple of reasons as to why she would end up in the Arkle over the JLT, as follows, and in no particular oder:
1. I think Melon would be best suited over the intermediate trip, leaving the door open for Laurina in the Arkle. I don't think they will be pinned against each other.
2. Owners/Trainers are creatures of habit and I am confident Jared would want to retain the Arkle.
3. The Arkle, even looking at the betting so early on now, looks considerably weaker than the JLT market, IMO. I think it more likely WPM will send his Mare to the easier option.
4. There is no Grade 1 intermediate trip at the festival for Melon to try over hurdles, but there is over fences. Laurina could have gone for the Mares Hurdle if she wanted the JLT trip.
These are my current thoughts, they could change throughout the season.

Sound logic 😄
Personally, am unconvinced re Melon and even Mullins does not sound that positive.....worth reading notes on ATR anyone before back

If ts worthwile In the back of my head I remember ruby saying he knew he was holding on to nothing and never felt like hed get to melon. Melon was travelling well within his comfort zone at the time.
I'd have melon down as a 2 miler myself. Whether that pushes laurina up to 2 1/2. Or it even gets to the stage where they both make grade 1 chasers. Or just even stay sound. Time will tell.

Scooby, you may well be right, I certainly had Laurina down as needing more of a trip than 2 miles, but then I also had the above thought process, and it's just a small opinion of what could be completely wrong anyway
I have reasons why she could end up in the JLT too! I've backed both currently and pray we get some sort of indication prior to the festival so I can cash one of them!

I remember Harry W mentioning rouge Vif being thought as being a flat track horse, after kelso i think.

I don't think anybody disagrees with this.
My point was, the actual comment was something like "Laurina goes novice chasing, shhhhh"
In my opinion, we should qualify it a bit more like explaining where it's from.
You absolutely don't need to reveal who exactly from if you don't want to.
Unless I missed it elsewhere, the above is the point I took issue with.
Did I miss it elsewhere? More than happy to apologise if so.
My mistake was then explaining myself, I have my reasons for initially only putting 'Jared's Mare is going chasing', this is an open forum viewed by many outsiders (bit of a hint why it was hush) who don't register on here.
I can see how it could look egotistical or dramatic now I've re read it and taken it a different way, but just to note, if this happens again, I.e. information released, there will be no explanation, just the info, if you choose to believe me, great, if you don't, great also, it's entirely up to the individual how you take someone else's word.
Apologies for the confusion, I know where I went wrong and will try not to let it happen again.
I only put it on here as I thought the market might react a bit more than it actually did (no reaction that I know of actually), so that those that wanted to could jump on, if I had known the market would have been fine with the news I wouldn't have even said anything.
Anyway, let's move on, there are plenty more horses and races to get stuck in to

Early info much appreciated CoD, no apologies needed whatsoever IMO.
I was a big supporter of Laurina last year and despite the race being laid on a plate for her, was left bitterly disappointed. Perhaps chasing was always going to be her game but for me she’s got plenty to prove in open company and I’d be surprised if she has the pace for this.
