A truly ran 2m looks to be his optimum trip too. He came up short a couple of times last year over further including in the Ballymore having travelled way too freely early on. Seems to be a more settled horse this season and took to fences like a natural so I'm willing to take a chance with the cash out option before Sunday.
Think all Dunvegan's form is on right handed tracks so I'd be wary about backing for Cheltenham

Well Naas is left handed so we’ll know more Sunday. His jumping was dead straight lto maybe it’s more of a coincidence that his runs over unsuitable distances have been at left handed tracks so far. Like I said we’ll have a better picture on Sunday.

      • What’s everyone’s opinion and position on the two Mullins horses running at Nass today?

Not normally a race that throws up a good horse for the festival, but in my opinion at the minute i can only see Melon running in the Arkle for Mullins. So must be likely one of these two would also turn up. I would prefer to see tornado flyer up in trip and have already backed at decent prices for the JLT. If one of them Wins today they’ll probably half in price and likely be heading for the Arkle.

I’m torn between covering both, but also of the opinion neither are good enough to win in March.

        • Of the two I like Cash Back. Was impressed with him last time and looks like the type to do well chasing. Tornado Flyer has given the impression he is best suited to further in my opinion. It is interesting though that Tornado Flyer has been highly regarded by the stable even last season.

It does look like today is being used for willie to decide on one more of his potential arkle runners.
Cash back looks less exposed to me and might be useful.
Tornado Flyer does look like he needs further also.
So today will be interesting, especially with how they measure up against Dunvegan.

Cashback is a definite 2 miler. But imo one that's not good enough to win an arkle. If tornado flyer won well hes interesting as something to come off the pace and finish well over 2m in a grade 1. Dunvegan is alright, but he dosent get me excited at the top level.

Basically imo its not a strong race and you'd want one of them to be decisive. Looks more of a race of a win to earn there place in a grade 1, Rather than there being a grade 1 winner in waiting.

                  • My idea for the Arkle this year was because it was so open, to do a bit of a book on the race at huge prices.

Tornado Flyer is one of them (cheers Kev) in there at 33s as the Mullins horse who ran last time in a race Mullins targets for his arkle horses.

Probably a fair point about making a small book on this race. Especially as most i presume will have Notebook, Fakir and melon already at good prices.

Added both for a point EW 25’s and 35’s.
