Be interesting to see how Nicholls handles Pic D'orhy, because that run at the festival was not his true running, I don't believe.
I'm pretty sure someone on here or somewhere else has said he was brought for chasing, so it will either be here or the JLT that is the aim I'm sure, RSA would be a trip beyond him I think.
I've taken the 'any race' price currently, but is one I'm keen to add to once we see an entry.

They will go slowly with Pic D, with a view to chasing, no decision made as of 2 weeks ago but leaning towards another year over hurdles. The other interesting one for the connections is Danny Kirwan who wont be seen until the spring and is rated 120 over hurdles so youd expect they will be taking a big swing at something, although off that rating it wont be cheltenham, unless they can get it up before.

The angle with Pic D'Ohry was that his French form was better relative to our juvenile form ... going out of that company, do we expect him to make any great waves? Won't he now have lost that edge?
No trainer I'd prefer a chaser to be trained by than Nicholls but he's known for pot hunting rather than just focusing on Cheltenham?
I'd rather back him during the season than for the festivalLast edited by Kevloaf; 21 August 2019, 01:23 PM.

Agree about Nicholls, but I feel if he thinks one is good enough for the festival he won't hold back, and Frodon done his duties during the season and turned up for the festival too!
