Yep thats the angle Im taking CoD. Couldn't see him as the winner tbh, but at 33/1, a place would be fine and its hard to know just how good he might be. Suits my approach of making a book on each race.

The Supreme looking poor atm. So I wouldn't knock trying to go outside of the novices.
Im hoping thomas darby and al dancer can do the business in there respective races this week and give the race a bit of a boost. The 12/1 on melon is even looking big atm.
PP seemingly agree. Made some moves in the market. Shortening the likely runners And pushing out obvious non runnershttps://scooby91horseracingtips.com/

1 win in 2 years, still too short at 10/1 until we see if he's improved for a fence, no?
With regards to form, I think Footpad was winless over the hurdles the season before he went novice chasing.

And if you look at the two placed horse in his Ayr win last season , Galvin gets a really good mention by Elliott today and Humble Hero big fancy for Skelton in the Greatwood.

It's an after thought for Melon.
...and to be fair, Footpad was electric over a fence.... and my point was Melon may well need to be too, if he's going to follow in Footpad's footsteps.
I agree too, too short now and will only get shorter. Which does mean you can make a case it's not too short now but you know what I'm saying

He's obviously got to be able to jump. But if you watch melon in the CH. Then watch sillver streak against grand sancy, and itchy feet.
It shows the levels they've been operating at, and the gulf in class between champion hurdlers and novice hurdles. Melons crusing speed far outweighs any of the novices, just needs to be able to bowl along on his own terms and jump, and they wont be able to keep with.
