Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

  • Is Epatante OK?

Nothing on the lay side on Betfair. And Pentland Hills has had plenty queued up in recent days too.

Noticed this as well. Definitely not what you’d expect to see. Worked out last Thursday and all was ok then.

          • I’m gonna point out something interesting that might prove the Irish champion hurdle is a good form race to pick from and why Darver Star is so overlooked.
When you look at Honeysuckle’s early form she had Black tears, and Efile behind her beaten. Since then black tears won since in a big handicap race and looked as though it might improve again. Efile has won today in a grade 3 and beaten a horse like Laurina.
Now when you look at that form line from Honeysuckle it looks strong.
Now look at Darver Star compared, when the horse got beaten by Envoi Allen he could of won or at least gotten closer if the horse didn’t get blocked in. You look at Envoi allen’s Form and that looks strong. Darver Star was abit far back in the Irish champion and I really do think it would of won if it was racing closer to the front of the pack and the odds would of been round 10/1 for the champion hurdle.
Also because the horse isn’t from a wel known stable it’s partly why’s its overlooked in comparison with other horses in the race from bigger named stables.
For me I’ve always said Darver Star I think is the best horse in this race and I honestly do think it will AT LEAST place.
But I reckon too it will win its racing closer to the front and Cheltenham is a track that will suit the horse perfectly.

            • Pic D’Orhy will go and win the Kingwell on Saturday then win the Champion Hurdle and we can all reminisce about our Triumph vouchers last year......

You think they will run him three times in good races in quick succession like that?!

I thought the Kingwell entry a bit odd, unless it’s a Trial for an entry to the Champion.

The horse has been lightly raced since coming over from France 15 months ago, so it’s possible he could run in either the Champion Hurdle, or the Aintree 2M4F Grade 1.

Personally if the horse is well I would not run in the Kingwell and pay the supplementary fee for the best Hurdle race on the planet.

Maybe they want the prize money to pay for the fee. Like Cilaos emery's owners did. And winning would also cement his credentials a bit more.
Personally think he's no fucking chance though to be honest.

Don't think Johnny de la Hey is struggling for the supplementary fee tbh q! He's also got a nice Betfair Hurdle pot to dip in to....

Would seem counter intuitive to run him again so quickly to try and cover the fee, when it surely lessens his chance in the race they are paying the fee for.

Random entry saturday full stop. Unless it was early closing ??

Maybe it's a bot like a manager being told he's got to sell a player before they buy. I.E Paul wants him in champion and Jonny can't be arsed.

PD won 88K from the Betfair, around four-times the Supplementary Fee for the Champion Hurdle.
If they want to run in another two mile hurdle, surely the Champion (with a longer break in between) and not the Kingwell.

                              • Barry Orr said on the FFP De La Hey said Pic D'Orhy will win the Arkle next year.

                                Price gone.

I'm not a fan of Pic D'orhy coming here.... he's done his job for the season, get him schooling fences ready for next year Paul and miss the festival so we MIGHT get a price!
