Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I have backed Thomas Darby @33/1 for this.

Supreme novice form may not stack up too well but its a weak CH this year so well worth it.

If it wins today off top weight you would be talking 12/1 max for this
A little bit optimistic to hope for 12/1.... but an each way player if they do go for this race.

I do think he's going for a handicap myself, but that'd make this a bet to nothing.
Took the bet to nothing, bit disappointed though, thought he was a Coral Cup plot....

        • Any one think Thomas Darby can compete in the Champion Hurdle after that performance? I listened to it on the radio so will watch later but did well by the sound of it whilst carrying more weight than others but not sure how good Song for Someone is in comparison

Not for me. Looked a pretty average race today.

Based on his C&D festival 2nd last year?
Or winning off top weight in a handicap?

                NO chance?
                None?
Absolutely no way Thomas Darby can win a race where Epatante is fav?

                Pfft.

                • It would need to be a pretty poor champion hurdle if he was to have a chance. Hold on a minute!!!

                  • Trainer just said Thomas Darby to miss Cheltenham and go Aintree for "the" 2 m 4f race .

Similar to Can't Catch Me's view it looked an average race. He's ground it out on heavy over 2 and half, fair play to him on that but for me he's not quick enough or classy enough to win a champion hurdle. He was beat often enough last season as a novice, and the fact he came second in a supreme on soft ground, I believe, was more down to the race falling apart. Open company it's going to be much tougher to get close.
Obviously every horse has a chance but would I be taking 25s on him to win a Champion Hurdle, no way.

                          No, me neither

..... and Pentland Hills, no chance I'd back him either.

                          Ballyandy wins.

                          Wow
