Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

      • Just watching all the weekends action now - my pennies on the Morgiana would be:

Klassical Dream - wasn't as bad as I thought it would be after reading/hearing about the race. It's not hard to envisage him reversing the form later in the season although he's no price at all as a bet now. He was arguably THE worst ante post fav at circa 3/1, and 6/1 is shorter than he should probably be on what we've just seen. I have him in a few yankee's at 6/1 from April time and I wouldn't add him now in any hurry at the same price.

Saldier - Comes out with the most credit (obviously) although having him at 35/1 and seeing him at 6/1 co fav may well cloud my judgement on him going forward. Trying to ignore that, I personally don't think he was that impressive, and when Buveur D'air is 6/1 and Saldier is 6/1 (which they are tonight) then I'd have no hesitation at all backing BVD instead of him. (Doesn't mean I don't think he can win, just BVD sets the standard, Saldier has no form better than BVD's yet). Good spot to be in though regardless.

Sharjah - Did add him before the race for the CH (ante post) which I didn't get chance/couldn't be bothered to post on here. I would have hoped for better but he's still a dual grade 1 winner so I'll give him another chance before crying about it being a bad bet. I was in two minds, I'll keep an open mind and see how he does over Christmas.

Petit Mouchoir - Hardly mentioned on here (just seen his name means "pretty white lies" I like that. Anyway, he is only quoted with 365 and is 40/1 - Placed in an Arkle (just), walloped in a Stayers hurdle... I was trying to find an angle for him being a decent e/w price at 40/1 but I can't make one. The best I had was his "NOVEMBER" record is 13F2 as a means of saying maybe how close is was in the Morgiana doesn't bring the form down...but that's a nonsense theory and doesn't hold up...so ultimately... brings the race down.

I use it often and ironically, I'm glad it's annoyed somebody

          • I thought Petit Mouchoir meant 'little handkerchief'. I don't think he'll take any hand in the CH finish though.

And sorry, that wasn't the only thing I was going to reply with but wanted clarification, as I am definitely not French!

I think there will be more to come from Klassical Dream on the day, but personally I would prefer Saldier to KD winning just for return levels.

It's quite a nicely priced market now I feel.

                I compared Saldier to Buveur D'air didn't I, at 6/1 - I'd want BVD.

...and I don't know, that';s what google came up with when I hit search before adding "horse" at the end for Petit Mouchoir

Yeah, sorry, I was just rambling, despite quoting for whole post for some reason!

                  • Plenty of money for Coeur Sublime this morning. Cut from 25's at 8am to 18's by 9.30.

Good to see! Any particular reason? Write up, article or anything? I took him after his decent win at WKD hurdle at down royal. Decent ew punt!

                      • It's a long time from November to March.

I don't have figures for DR winners who go on to win at the Festival but I suspect it's not all that encouraging.

Probably Ew money and lots of it in a very open year. He put up probably the most eye catching performance this season so far by 2 milers. 25's was too big. A long time to go though

He did run rather well at Fez this year though when completely unfancied. I like his profile. Looks a big improver and could be anything.

It's the other way round I think in his case.
