Was 11/2, someone else, or maybe MadeinJapan, put it up last week I think. Think a few shrewdies took the 11/2, I ended up with 4/1 myself on the Friday.

        • Delighted with 4/1 and they still allow me to get decent money on.
These are also NRNB too so the price (4/1) is disproportionate to their main market price (14/1 three places)

          • 4/1 is outstanding value given that he'll be close to single figures on the day.

If BDD or Honeysuckle swerve the race he's almost certain to start at less than 10/1.

Oh yeah, definitely. Cracking bet given the demise of KD & Saldier, and the expected exclusion of possibly both BDD & Honeysuckle as well.

                • 4 of the first 6 in Skys Champion Hurdle betting either won’t run or need supplementing, if none of those run I can see Supasundae ending up 6/1...

Yeah, madness the 4/1 still now.

I can only see it at 3/1?

It's 3/1 now - just tried to go in again at 4/1 & price had changed...

                        • Four places at 11/2 was a great price, given the current entries.
But it's hard not to expect some decent horses being supplemented. So I'd say the price is gone now.

I also think Robbie Power is correct to question the price of the horse in the market given the current line up.
Although If I'd have interviewed him he'd have been made to explain why he helped persuade Harrington not to run it in the last couple of years and go for the stayers on soft ground instead

I really like the horse and my jibes about him for this race are related to previous discussions from a couple of seasons ago.

Looking at it Fresh though, I'd still be against the horse due to age and whilst the quality is not there at the moment in the entries.
There is likely to be enough runners with potential to improve and also a lot of runners.
So whilst Supasundae is a class act and a big field may even help him, and I can see the case for him, especially right now since Saldier & KD came out.

I've said it before, even great champion hurdlers have struggled to place in the race at age 10. And although this looks a weak race at the moment, I can't personally see him winning. (translated, that means he's no fucking chance)

                            • I don’t disagree with Q’s comments but the big difference with the value here is Sky pay four places and it’s NRNB.
Places horses only count 1, 2 and 3.

I went through all the entries earlier, despite this being a poor renewal it’s likely there’ll be no more than 10-12 runners, so the 11/2 and 4/1 top four finish was outstanding.
3/1 still represents good value for me...

Predicting the number of runners is tricky. I'd be more along the lines of 16-18 myself. I'd be amazed if there aren't at least 2 supplemented.
11/2 and 4/1 were good value for the four places.
3-1 is fair if you really like the horses chances anyway.
