If Epatante wasn't the favourite I think I'd like her loads more

I totally get this, this is pretty much how I feel about her too. I really fancied her in that hcap earlier in the year & thought she had a good chance of stepping forward in the Xmas hurdle but I just can’t get my head around her being 11/4f after those 2 wins. In a normal year she’d be coming in here 7/1 + after those 2 results & you’d be making a case. Whilst there’s no doubt she can win, as of now she has to be taken on with something....just waiting for that something!!

I also think with her that the way I (and most on here tbf) were on big prices for the mares novice last year and for her to then completely bomb has me very tentative towards her back at Cheltenham. I said before her first run this season when she was 3/1 for the handicap that I liked her that day but I just couldn’t back her at Cheltenham after what she did last year there.

She looked like a horse who absolutely hated the stiff finish.

I said a few weeks ago if I was starting fresh in this race I'd back the three Mullins runner, Saldier, Klassical Dream and Sharjah against the field. 2 ruled out and the other flopped..... so if I was starting fresh AGAIN (fortunately I'm not) .... I'd maybe try Epatante?

Stayers Hurdle
Gold Cup.

All of these have a closing time of midday this Tuesday for 2nd acceptance of their entries, and quite a few could be pulled out of these races and any antepost bets lost (unless you have NRNB).

I see some bookies are pushing out prices in these markets, trying to catch people out? Surely not.

He can only lose if one of two things happen:

1) Benie runs
2) It’s a standing start.

Otherwise he just goes off the front and has them beat before even getting to the last. Good thing.
