We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

The timing of Willie's announcement, is just before 2nd entries date for this race which is by noon Tuesday 12th February.
After 2nd entries are known, then this may be the time that owners/trainers consider supplementary entries and have 3 weeks before that date to determine whether paying £22.5K to win £253K becomes viable, and you get your money back if you finish 4th.
Bit if an oddity that then.
Pretty much every other race has lower maximum fields. safety and all that.
Maybe it's because the 2M hurdles track on the Old Course starts way back at the bottom of the hill with a long run of around 4F before the turn to go into the back straight.
Plus the race doesn't get as many as 20 runners usually.

I think they've not bothered because of the field sizes I reckon.
Poor foresight/planning as if 26 turn up this year and low rated horse falls and brings four or five down they'll soon reduce it.
He wins today and probably goes fairly short.....8-10’s possibly?
It really is a shocking decision! Take 3 out the top 4 from the betting (BDD honey and Envoi) it’s abysmal it’s going to be like trying to find the winner of a handicap!
I do think it’s a poor race. Worst champion hurdle in my lifetime that’s for sure.
I know epatante was impressive at Christmas but I still think the division is waiting for a ‘wow’ performance. I really believe Not So Sleepy will deliver it today - albeit in a handicap (a very good one though).
If Epatante wasn't the favourite I think I'd like her loads more
I also think with her that the way I (and most on here tbf) were on big prices for the mares novice last year and for her to then completely bomb has me very tentative towards her back at Cheltenham. I said before her first run this season when she was 3/1 for the handicap that I liked her that day but I just couldn’t back her at Cheltenham after what she did last year there.
She looked like a horse who absolutely hated the stiff finish.
