Just seen the race, that was an impressive performance from Solo. One thing’s for sure the Triumph is shaping up to be one of the races of the Festival. They’re going to go some clip up front & there’ll be no prisoners, can’t wait to see them take each other on in the cauldron that’s is Cheltenham, far different conditions than most of them have faced so far. Completely happy with my bet on Allmankind for this, he’s got Cheltenham form which could be a big differentiator, proven up the hill which is far different from Kempton. Should be a cracker.

He could be very good yes but as I’ve said in a previous post, we’ve seen this already with Aspire Tower this season. Personally think it’s an open race with many possible outcomes. Strongest form is clearly Allmankind but I can see a shock winner in all honesty.
The manner in which Solo ran down the straight strongly suggests that he will be shorter than 4/1 on the day in fact think he will go off 2/1 and he will power up the hill when all the others have pulled their chances away and if im wrong then i can always edit this post and pretend i didnt write it, but he is a strong selection even at 4/1. Well done to others who got the big juicy prices by the way, hat tipped to you.

If Solo can settle behind the pace in the Triumph, I think he will win. Saying that, I don't think his current price is value.
On Solo today, I think he was mightily impressive myself, maybe a tad too short now, but would have gone in again at a dirty e/way price which he is currently not. Hopefully a drift on the day or some bookmaker offer so I can get stuck into him a bit more.

I would say thats open for interpretation at the least.

Can’t see Gordon bringing him over in two weeks after he curled up in the straight today."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

I guess it will all boil down to which horse settles and expends the least amount of energy on the way around. I hear the argument that horses like allmankind will settle better off a faster pace, but that isn't necessarily true. Some horses are just weird and want to tear away from the pack regardless. Mytentoryours was a prime example of that. That horse would pull over a 5f dash.Long bitcoin, long gold, long silver, long g/s opening day Cheltenham Festival

Interesting the horse that beat Solo in Auteuil was beat at Bangor for Mr Maxwell earlier this month. Trained by NichollsLast edited by Kautothegreat8; 22 February 2020, 10:28 PM.

With Allmankind, Goshen, Solo and Aspire Tower all front-running, to win the Triumph the jockeys are going to have to win that battle to ge the best run for their horse, amongst all the other front-runners, and not go too quick to leave it open for a lurker that can travel well off the pace.
I certainly wouldn’t put up a Kempton Juvenile Hurdle win, impressive as it was, as a definitive piece of form, above all of the others, when coming to Cheltenham on Friday 13th.
To me, Allmankind, Goshen and Solo are right there at the top of the pecking order, but I just favour Allmankind as he has done his winning at Cheltenham and in the Grade 1 at Chepstow, on left-hand undulating tracks on soft ground."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

and if I could compare Allmankinds performance at Chepstow to a song it would be Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin, it was something special. As impressive as Solo was today I think Dan Skelton knows he has got a nuclear weapon on his hands. He’s keeping him fresh until Friday 13th and it’s going to be something special!!
