She refused to race the first time, luckily for backers the starter called them back, but he wasn't lenient in letting her take part the next start.

Backed Gemystory, who had the shortest beaten form with the favourite and is open to more improvement than most of them.

Thanks. At least all is well. Think she'll have a break now and be brought back for spring festivals. Been on the go for a while.

Theres a shock, the horse I backed LTO winning instead

All beating each other, probably a sign there isn't a superstar in that lot, that's my opinion though.

I wonder how much hes improved since being beaten by mick pastor. Positive tactics seem to be a necessity to bring out the best in him.

Rayapour (mullins) a long way infront of mick pastor when they met on the flat. but cant help but be impressed with the form of mick pastors sole hurdles run.

                • Yes, Nirvana Du Berlais put up an RPR of 143 when winning the Grade 1 Prix Cambaceres by 14 lengths.
Mick Pastor on his debut (and only run) beat NDB by 6 lengths (carrying 4lb less), but NDB had already had two runs before meeting Mick Pastor, and Mick Pastor started at 27/1.

Couldn’t get much stronger form from a sole run, so it will be really interesting to see Mick Pastor’s UK debut, with Paul Nicholls as the new trainer.

                  • Is Micro Manage a defo for hurdles this season. Big player if taking to hurdles given his 100+ flat rating. WPM stable tour stated the horse had a stress fracture in June and not likely to debut over hurdles until the New Year.

I'd have thought so, but nothing guaranteed.

A huge plus is that hes been jumping at home and schooling over hurdles since 2. according to David Casey micro manage is the best jumper of a hurdle they've ever had as a juvenile.

                      • Wow, let’s hope he returns for a run or two before March.

                          Very interesting indeed, thanks

                          • Assistant David Casey said afterwards:- “It's great that he won as well as he did. We always thought a fair bit of him but were worried about the ground.

“He's a big horse and hits it heavy, we think soft ground will be much better for him.

“He does all the right stuff at home and hopefully it's onwards and upwards.

“There is no plan, today was the plan, and all Willie said was to tell him to mind him and not to break him down.

“We were so worried about the ground being so dry and wouldn't have run but for the rain the other day.

“I think he'll improve plenty for it. Donnacha liked him and he's ridden plenty of good ones.

He's a brilliant jumper and schooled only last week. I've schooled him myself and he even jumped as a two-year-old. He's as good a jumper as we've ever had as a three-year-old.”

                            • You can take that 2 ways, if you really wanted to. I'd take it that he's on about his jumping in particular.

The Exact same was said about footpad and novice chasing.

                              • I know its only one fence, but I did like the way Mick Pastor moved over a hurdle in Harry Derham's tweet from the gallops this morning.

With his form taking that nice boost over the weekend I've topped up on him at 35/1 with Paddy with the boost. Very unusual breeding for a 2m hurdler! But he looks a monster price to me.
