Triumph Hurdle 2020

I think there was a whole load more ‘give’ than might’ve been first assumed on Sunday. Finishing times for all the races were slow. The course may have ended up over watering in the end but you can understand that after the criticism.

I was an Aspire Tower fan before the weekend. He’s been an impressive finisher of his races and we didn’t get to see that on Sunday but to my eye he was struggling and I’m not sure a fall for any horse, especially a juvenile, is ideal preparation for any race yet alone his biggest to date.

They over watered the home straight because since the moterway was built alongside the course it acts as a drainaway to the adjoining land.

AMK or Goshen for the triumph, Mick Pastor 20/1 each way looks good as should come on a lot from the run at ludlow but the other 2 look too good, think 5/1 still good value.

Good news she’s running. Bad for me though as I’d backed her in the mares novice in what I thought was a nice looking each way Yankee with melon, Sharjah and mick pastor.

I do like her and would be an interesting runner for me should she get to the triumph, in spite of the poor mares record

I’m in the same boat, haven’t given it any consideration at all but the front three in the market are all very keen going types that may end up cutting each other’s throats. There’s also very little value to be had in them now. One coming off the pace may have an edge up the hill.

I’ll have to do some homework tonight. Don’t really like the Adonis as a trial anymore. Less than 3 weeks between races could take a toll on a 4yr old.

edit: that being said Fujimoto Flyer did win at Auteuil only a couple of weeks after Killarney.
