  • They pretty much ran to form from their previous meeting in October with Cerberus getting the 4lb today. Kevin Blake was very keen on Cerberus on the Betfair podcast on Friday night.

      Ah okay, apologies.

Wasn't paying attention - don't care about the Triumph yet

Apart from having a fracture and hoping to get him back after Christmas. NO.

I wouldnt be backing him obviously,
Hopeful he'll get out though, I see no reason why they'd mention him beforehand, if he does get out.

                  • Goshen being backed heavily today... be interesting to see whether his jumping has improved... if so we may have a new Triumph fav by 1:00pm.

Yep, I believe he will be, which is why I backed him yesterday.

The Moore's are not a million miles away from where I live, and word was (and probably still is) going around that they really like this horse. He supposedly done a bit of work with Beat The Judge (another of their horses) and a couple of others, and it was pretty impressive.

The other one they really like is Botox Has (again, with the Moore's), who has close form ties with Allmankind who is up there at the head of the market for the Triumph also and would give them a line to weigh up Goshen too.

I was hoping for a bit more juice in the Triumph price as his competition at Fontwell was hardly exciting, so surprise he was put in so short, as he won that race just how he should of tbh.

I think he'll be a nice cash out opportunity after today.

                      • I've had a punt on Goshen @ 16's too , and Botox has @40-1, thought it was worth a small .
go after the 2nd to Allmankind .

                        • Forgot to say regarding Goshen, his breeding is up there as well, by Authorized (Tiger Roll's sire) and the Dam of Elimay who had good form in France and is 2 from 4 for WPM over in Ireland.

The Dam's Sire is Poliglote who produced the likes of Device & So French, from France, and Politologue, who races over in these waters. These are strong lines.

He is now rated 88 on the flat after winning by 7 lengths at Nottingham, and it was so clear to see he carried that form on over hurdles at Fontwell.

Thanks for the info CoD, very interesting and yeah it was the breeding that caught my eye. Took 25s straight after Fontwell and he has been steadily backed since. He reminds me of Defi in his juvenile season... a bit mad and erratic but huge engine. Needs to keep straight today tho.

                            • Gary Moore always has juveniles that look really good at this time of year doesn't he?

Can't think of any at all that have ever featured in a Triumph.

Every horse is different, but my initial reaction to hearing someone like Gary Moore (and team) think they have a good one is so what, still won't be good enough.

Nice price MS. I was actually annoyed at myself, as was told about this horse in the summer, but along with a load of other horses, you never quite know what to make of them until they come out. Then of course I forgot to back him prior to Fontwell, just a silly mistake. Happy enough to get him on side now though.
