I thought Percy ran a cracker. Wouldnt fancy him for Cheltenham but he ran a good race today. Group 1 placed is probably his limits nowadays as opposed to possible group 1 winner.
Delta will relish the extra 2 1/2f in the gold cup.Comment

Get 14/1 for Percy with boylesports NRNB. Looked like the winner jumping two out.Pat Kelly always gears this horse towards Cheltenham and had a much smoother prep than last year!Comment

Percy didn’t look like he was going the first half of the race and Slowly worked himself into it.
I’m a sucker for course form and his record at leopardstown isn’t great. Dunno whether it’s the course, the ground or not being 100% wound up today but he’ll only improve for Cheltenham. I think he’s a cracking bet at the prices. Right last years gold cup off as he never jumped a single fence and was struggling from the off. 14/1 is a phenomenal priceComment

Fairly solid four horse race now.
Unless we get extreme conditions.
Wouldn;t completely rule out any second season chasers but.

I will respectfully disagree. I’m not saying he wins it but he’s still only 8 and he was hardly disgraced last year. Another year of experience and another good season. I would agree with you on the other four though.Comment

Kemboy has been comfortably held twice now by Delta Work and the extra trip and the Cheltenham hill should be more to Delta Works liking so I would confidently rule out Kemboy now. He was over rated because he beat Al Boum Photo after the gold cup but he had a major freshness avantage and that form flattered him.Originally posted by Kevloaf View PostI'm on 4.

Clan Des Obeaux probably wont go. Much better right handed and on a speed track. Keep him sound and he can be a triple king george winner and that should be the focus for Clan now. No point having a super hard race that you wont win.
Lostintranslation has major question marks against him in including the trip, jumping ability and ability.
Al Boum Photo has a chance but has fell in 20%+ off his career races and although he is a great jumper in the main he always has the possibility of that one lapse of concentration in a race.
All in all Percy aside you are very likely to be on the winner Kevloaf.Comment
