But whos going to beat him in the KG? He's altior.

The 3 best GC contenders imo. (Altior aside) ABP, kemboy, Delta work almost certainly wont be there. So he'd want to be winning, to win the GC.
Whilst the Irish are likely to have the best of the seasoned chasers, I’m not expecting Delta Work to reverse the RSA form with TOTG and Santini and I’d also put LIT ahead of him too with regards to the second season brigade.

I think hes the best of the 3 myself, travelled markedly the best, closed out and switched round the pair after the last in the RSA. I'm sure davy himself would like to have another go, but little lost in defeat.

Personally can't have santini at all, too one paced for me. Have to force him to lie up.
TOTG had the experiance edge, in big field handicaps ie presenting percy.

Certainly a good batch of second season chasers on the Gold Cup trail regardless of how we each rank them.

Certainly are, unfortunately not missed in the market.

Nope, it’s not a great market at all. I’m sticking with LIT but not heavily.

              I think so.

First step will be to prove he's still got the same ability this year (Christy 1965 Chase)!

To be fair, it's pretty clear when he says
Obviously we’re forfeiting the Tingle Creek but he’s going to get beaten one day so I think we have to go down another road and if it doesn’t work out we can always go back to the Game Spirit, Champion Chase and do all of that again, but hopefully we won’t have to.
Oh my God he's going to win the Gold Cup

but to me, that's so clear htat if they lose when upped in trip they'll go back to 2 miles.

This King George/Gold Cup tilt really is a nothing-to-lose situation for them.... he either does it and is up there with Kauto Star, or fails and he remains "just" a superstar 2 miler.

              Win-Win

Blows this market for this wide open. You dont want to be backing one of the market leaders, or even worse have a book of a few for this. You'd have to be worried if you do.

They're all going to drift if altior wins the KG or even his prep.
Looking at the rest of the prices, altior is absolutely no 16/1 shot. Hed' be fav NRNB 100% . And for me, hes the most likely winner.

If you dont fancy him, hold your horses and hope he wins the KG. Your going to get some value.

                • Maybe the Champion Chase has some value in it now too, if Altior could be missing from the field.

The very almost related double, is the common sense one, for the ones who like there doubles, whatever there qmcc fancy may be. (Qmcc) (GC)

For instance chacun and altior 7s and 16s. If altior was to win the KG. And chacun won a micky mouse race in ireland, Would pay more on the cashout, than altior winning the KG himself.

                      • Would be silly not to get Altior in the book and I have a few free bets to use up this week which will be going straight on.

                        • Does Altior any race now come into play for anyone?

5/2 is the only price I’ve seen offered

                              • Could Altior be in no mans land for Cheltenham 2020, not having the gears for 2m and not staying the trip in the Gold Cup? Ryanair winner for 2021?
