Its no easy task for envoi at all thats for sure. I hope he is the superstar that I think he is and puts in a top performance, but at the same time a little bit of me is hoping there could be an overreaction from bookies if he gets pipped, but I doubt they would.

if you are going strictly off the form of envoi allens biggest race to date in the ballymore, where he beat easywork by 4.25l, its not inconceivable at all that asterion forlonge could get even closer to him than easywork did, considering that asterion has beaten easywork already, and thats even before you factor in the 11lb he is getting. Of course there is the very valid point that maybe he only does what he needs to do and has a lot left in the tank, but I wouldnt put my house on it.

Totally agree about him doing what he needs to and having plenty left in the tank. Today could tell us more about that.

No he seems to take his racing well and still 2 months pretty much till the festival

Nah they talk of Envoi as a 3m/Gold Cup horse in the making, so if he's going to be what I think he can be, a big run 2m4f should be his bag

I think Envoi is the best horse in training and wouldn't have Asterion within 11lb of the best around so think EA will win.

That might be a bit too simplistic though

I was thinking 1/3F for the Marsh this morning if he won well.

Its just a shame January is a shit month for me, we get paid early in December, kids and wives birthday past so pretty skint this time of year! No funds to really get stuck into Envoi, but happy enough i suppose with my position with him so far, but you know yourselves always would like that bit more on and before the off today evens is lrob last time I would consider topping up.

Just seems too short to me 8 weeks out. I think Douvan was the shortest in history at 2/9 on the day. Who knows!

Envoi win easy and goes 4-9. Don't think people realise how much jumping right on a right handed course can also be an issue. Asterion Forlonge wont touch him.

I think despite Gordy saying it wouldn't be the end of the world if EA is beaten today, he's still looking for a comfortable win even after giving away the 11lbs on heavy ground. A 2 length win and an initial cut to 1/2 should be just the ticket.

Fascinating race......if both horses finish the race having jumped well I predict a win for AF but not by much

I would have liked an easier race for the EA/Shishkin to remain unbeaten for the season bet but for NH racing it's superb and can't wait.
