I saw on The Racing Forum they do annual awards.

I fucking love the idea to be honest, I think it's brilliant, and FWIW I think the chap that runs that, venture to cognac (from memory) is fantastic.

Anyway, as I doubt they could sue, how would people feel about an annual award ceremony on here?

Open to ideas of categories?

We could do actual polls too in some events? (Especially if it annoyed Quevega)


It'll all be a bit of a joke and a bit of fun.... I'm open to any ideas about this, I don't even need to be involved if someone else did want to take ownership..... but I thought it was a fun idea so would like to know what the great unwashed think, and you valued guys....

If I was host, you'd censor me too much, during the script meetings, even though you laughed, and we'd tear up the contract due to artistic differences.
I'd get annoyed, strom out, then be alright about it 2 seconds later.

I think Jorvik & Robith would be perfect, and they even said it themselves the other day (and I laughed cos I always get them mixed up).
They'd be Like Ant n Dec with a 'bit of blue' (as they used to put on posters in Blackpool).

The 'bit of blue' has changed to just 'a bit sweary and edgy' these days, although back in the day it actually meant Racism, homophobia, sexism and bigotry.

And I'd be particularly proud to win

I propose most pointless thread as an award....there have been some shockers over the past 12 months. I’ll have to dig out the ones that broke me like ‘What’s the best toilets at the Festival’, ‘best place to buy chips in Cheltenham’, ‘do you think AP McCoys new teeth look good or bad’ and ‘do you think there would be horse racing on Mars’!! These are all made up ones but we’ve had a shed load of similar threads set up taking up space
