It's that time again...
Welcome to the 2nd Fat Jockey ante-post tipping competition. Just like this year, there will be 2 different competitions, this antepost one where all selections must be posted here by 9pm on Sunday 17th January, and a competition much closer to the time where all selections will need to be in by the Sunday before the festival (I will create a new thread for that closer to the time).
The rules are as follows:
Everybody who enters will pick one horse for each race of the festival (please copy the template at the bottom of my post). Your selection will score points for coming anywhere fourth or better, the scoring system is as follows:
Winner - 10 points
Second - 5 points
Third - 3 points
Fourth - 1 point.
There is a bonus for each winner equal to a level ?1 stake on that selection. (all prices will be taken as the best price on Oddschecker at 9pm on Sunday (not including exchanges) when I finalise everyone's selections. e.g If Saldier is selected in the ante post comp and the best price of 25/1 is available at the deadline, the bonus earned would be 25 points if Saldier won the Champion Hurdle.
All non-runners will score zero points.
If a horse isn't priced up on Sunday evening when I collate entries, I will tag you in a post and you will have 24 hours to decide whether to take SP or choose another horse.
I will provide daily updates on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings with an up to date leaderboard. The winner will likely be announced on the Friday night.
