  • I just don't like the Allaho aspect. Suspect Stayer and a bias for LH tracks puts me off the bet.

    • Yeah, will likely to throw a free bet on this

        Since joining Willie:
        LH tracks - 432341, best RPR H147/C178
        RH tracks - 121612, best RPR H148/C176

        • This one's been around for a little while but thought it was worth mentioning given TSL has been mentioned in the OJA book I got today:

Flooring Porter (Stayers) and Three Stripe Life (Any Race) to win - 125/1

TSL is one of the 40 to follow, with two key quotes:
'Three Stripe Life is a lovely horse. He looked very impressive at Navan and everybody here is excited about him for the future. They all think he's a horse with real potential' Denise Foster pre-Cheltenham
'We think a good bit of him and he's done everything right at home. He was a big backward horse last year and we didn't get a run into him but we think he's a proper horse' Gordon Elliott after his bumper win at Navan

The arguments for/against Flooring Porter are well known by now I think

What you need to pick out from that though is 3 defeats RH at Punchestown against better class animals jumping LH each time. Easy to win against inferior horses RH. Don't get caught by the smokescreen Archie.

            • Not sure what happened in the John Durkan when Allaho finished 6th!! As we couldn't see it.

The other 2 defeats were to the 2 highest rated chasers in training based on HRI (one a subsequent Gold Cup winner) and Chacun is pretty handy round Punchestown.
Chacun Pour Soi (FR) 2012 G Kruscyna (FR) Policy Maker W.P. Mullins 176
Minella Indo 2013 G Carrigeen Lily Beat Hollow (GB) Henry de Bromhead 175
I guess my question is will he meet anything to that standard at Kempton, Clan Des Obeaux apart?

              • I have asked SkyBet to price up:

Eklat De Rire to win the Ladbrokes & GC. They obliged with 125/1 for anyone that’s interested

That's horrific, he's 66s for the Gold Cup alone, I hope you haven't taken that 125/1...

No idea what his Hennessy price will be but as competitive handicap I'd be shocked if he was under 10s, and with 66s available for the Gold Cup the 125/1 is a piss take, the only upsides for you is that Sky will know this is an horrific price and your account should be nicely protected for a while.
If I had a 365 account I'd be tempted to play the Gold Cup single as well, I'm sure people have said they offer cash out so if he does sluice up in the Hennessy you can close the single for a profit and ride the special...

He actually isn’t priced up in it yet. He’d probably be around 20’s in my book for it. Yes, I’ve been restricted on a couple of accouts lately so if I can keep Sky it’ll be good for the RABs!

                        • What makes you think he's Hennessy bound ? I don't remember HDB ever running one in it.

                            • …Eklat de Rire & Three Stripes Life to win a/r @ 200-1 appears better than individual price double with Sky.

Morning mate, I'd be tempted to do two doubles instead; EDR (GC) with TSL in both Ballymore and AB at bigger prices. He might turn up in the Martin Pipe though I suppose

Big game for us today Eggs. A must win
