Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Or one potentially ending up in the 4 miler, Or maybe farouk ending up in a handicap chase at the festival or even staying over hurdles! Get your point tho, could both easily rock up in the RSA

    • Have done Thyme Hill, Shewearsitwell, Ginto, Journey With Me all to place (AR) at 150/1. Think that's a good price for places rather than wins. Same problem as many of these in terms of getting all the horses there but at least it's not game over if two end up in the same race. On that basis have also added Envoi Allen, Sir Gerhard, Appreciate It and Shishkin all to win (AR) at 200/1 as don't think any will face off if fit this time next year.

      • ....wonder if they’ll price up Shishkin/Envoi to remain unbeaten again, or even Shishkin/Monkfish. I doubt we’ll see the prices offered this season.

They probably will because they would have made a killing off them this season haha.

Plus it’s always easier to stay unbeaten in novice company then in open company. I think they may do a few like Appreciate It and Bob Olinger as well

          • ....Ferny/Journey with Me now 80-1, it was 150-1 a few days ago. I expect it doesn’t take much to shift these odds.

Agreed I was eyeing up the Honeysuckle (CH) BO and SG any race at 80-1 was waiting for my free bet tomorrow but the price had already dropped to 50s.

Is this into 33s already?! They are cutting lots early. So many being priced up.

....wow, it is. They’ve given that price a proper haircut.

                  • It seems they are all getting reduced very quickly. I had one priced up yesterday 40/1, into 22/1 today. I didn't like the price so didn't even bet.

will miss these if they collapse within hours

                    • I think a lot of the request a bets have had the odds absolutely slashed , I got the ferny hollow and kilcruit to win any race at 50/1 yesterday and it’s now 16/1 !!

                      • I was waiting til Monday to back a couple of these with free bets, don't think I'll bother now !

                        • It appears to be driven by the “Any race market” on Skybet. A lot of the odds slashed there seem to have had a knock on effect on the Request a bets . A double blow!!

Managed to get on three I liked as they still appeared value last night but didn’t get through the list, sure there was a few more that have now lost their value overnight!

                          Sir G/Kilcruit/Shishkin (Any) 80/1

                          Now 40/1

                          Sir G/Bob/Honey (Any) 80/1

                          Now 50/1

                          Sir G/Appreciate it/Bob(Any) 66/1

Now 40/1 or 28/1 - Take your pick

                          Appreciate/Ferny/Bob(Any) 100/1

                          Now 33/1

Maybe the 2021 RAB Team got a good talking too from those above after some juicy winners last year. Could argue they got let off massively when Envoi tumbled as he was a feature in the earlier ones...

The phrase once bitten, twice shy springs to mind! Shame all the same

Possibly, but whilst it was a largely successful year for many in here the likes of Chacun, Kilcruit, Envoi Allen, Al Boum Photo, Billaway, Concertista and Paisley Park were all turned over as well as the likes of Energumene, Benie and much to my own personal cost, Thyme Hill, all failing to make it plus countless Irish pulled at the last minute, so whilst there were plenty of winners I’d be surprised if these RABs were an overall loser for Sky, it doesn’t excuse the woefully poor prices they’ve put up now...

                            • ....be interesting how the Hills equivalent stacks up. They don’t appear to have been stung but we only discovered the market on here part way through the year & they initially had some very juicy offers.

                              • Is skybet stil owned by the same people? Back of my mind was that they were being bought by someone, possibly same people as betfair? Though it all could of been a daydream.
