One of them might not be there to defend it at that stage though.

It was just a thought, looks like its a damp squib.

    • Just looked through Skybet specials for the first time in a while. Came across one which I think is very fair. The Big Getaway and Put The Kettle On both to be placed in top 4 in any race @ 9/1. Couldn't resist that one.

I'm not sure how to weigh up the actual odds (obviously Sky would feel they are ahead), 29/1 for the place double paying 3 places, does anyone have a rule with regards to additional places offered?

Top 4 means top 4 regardless of actual number of runners on the day. Thats how I see it anyway. You say 29/1 for the place double paying 3 places........but we don't even know which races they'll turn up in yet ??

          • Just looking at the Sky TWAR prices for TBG and PTKO, if you could do aTWAR Ew double (which I don't think you can) the place 1/5th odds first 3 pays just over 10/1 I think so 9/1 4 places is very generous.

Yes, I know what top 4 means And admittedly I was basing it on the two races I suspect the two horses with partake in

Those that have Sky accounts it could be worth requesting other doubles like this for 4 places ? I don't bet Ew but place only doubles would certainly be on my radar.

                    • Not sure if this has already been highlighted but under the Flat Racing RequestABets there is the following:

Pinatubo to win the English 2000 Guineas and Queens Brook to win the Mares Novices Hurdle at 2021 Cheltenham Festival
                      50/1

If you add the two individual selections into oddschecker the best priced double is around 24/1 with Ladbrokes (10/11 and 12/1)

Careful with this. Haven't checked today but they had it up as the mares chase rather than mares hurdle when I looked yesterday.

Just checked again - they've changed it and I'm adding it. Cheers SC
