66s all to place? That is ridiculous if so I didn’t think they would go above what the place part would pay.

Just looked, yeah that's 3x what is should be imo providing Energumene goes the Arkle, so call it 2x with the 50/50 call on race for him. Nice price for anyone who can get it.

I think it's probably a fairer reflection on their chances myself.

Energumene (who I have backed) has never been to the festival before, and we don't know how it can affect a horse, Shan Blue, despite marked improvement over fences, still has a heap to make up with Envoi Allen, then you have the question mark over targets, Energumene could go for one of two, same as Shan Blue too I guess. Then Melon, for all that he's finished 2nd 4 times at the festival is probably now going tackle the hardest race he's had at the festival with the likely looking line up.

He also seems to be a lot more forward this season, compared with previous seasons where his performances are usually held back for the festival itself.

The targets would probably be the big factor for me, but if it was still 66/1 when NRNB kicks in then it may well be worth a pt.

It's hard to knock a 66/1 bet, but I'd have enough doubts currently myself. I wish you all the best for those do get involved though

For me Energumene the only one who is 50/50 to which race so i can't dispute that but it is still 2x what it should be if getting his race right. The marsh and Arkle could well be 8< runners and it's not trying to beat the favs in that merely placing. Very fair bet at that price imo.

I wasn’t sold as an E/W Treble but a place treble at essentially double the price is well worth an interest for me

Yeah all Cheltenham RABs removed before today’s racing, would expect the 66s to still be there when the market reappears
