Used my free 5 this week on Envoi Allen, Shiskin and Chacun Pour Soi all to win any race 66/1.. Its also up on their site at 50s so just be mindful if wanting to back it. Alot shorter than a best price treble of them in their 'probable' races but it takes away the question of alot of the unknown yet like EA trip etc.

Has anyone considered not throwing the fivers at long ranged things that we all know are likely to end up with a non runner due to the number of horses involved, and just consistantly placing them on one horse you fancy, or want onside?
I think there have been 17x Mondays since Cheltenham, at £5 a week you could now have the equivilant of an £85 free bet.
Where would you put an £85 free bet?
You can't really waste a free bet and I know that some of these Skybets will click, but has anyone else thought about them as a way to boost a horse they actually fancy?
A horse in a Championship race at single figures you can't bring yourself to back?
A multiple you would LOVE to pay off? I bet most people on here would take an £85 free bet on Shishkin and Envoi Allen at whatever the average odds would have been if you'd placed the same bet every week?
Just food for thought perhaps, don't all jump on me

Ferny Hollow, for instance. A bumper winner, I can't bring myself to go big on a bumper winner for the Supreme (especially at those short odds), I've been trying to roll this one up for some time with not much success, but have the Trump bet still live.
Since used free bets and a 100% profit boost token (though max stakes are small for this option), in order to get him onside, which is probably what I should have been doing in the first place rather than using cash for roll ups. We live and learn!

Interesting point Kev. Ive been using mine mostly on rollups to get horses at huge prices. Basically short price footy teams in an accum added to my most fancied horses. Its allowed me to get Envoi Allen in at big prices but ive wasted 2 so far, one which included United last night rolling up onto Shiskin (1 rollup already completed on him).
I can see me trying a few more rollups (want another Shiskin rollup and a Chacun) and il then be considering just focusing the freebets on single horses to i get the targeted returns before moving onto the next.

I like the roll-up idea. The benefit of the larger odds means you can afford to get a few wrong and still be in a better position.
My problem is I specialise in NH racing, so finding nailed on certs from other betting opportunities is quite challenging. I'd probably benefit from a specific thread where bets are suggested for Cheltenham roll-ups. I'll start one for everyone to use.
If it's popular maybe it can become a sticky so we can monitor its success.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

I save all my Skybet ones up until I fancy something strongly enough where I want them covered but not enough for it to be with cash.
However, I do get tempted occasionally with the Skybet special RequestABets that this thread is dedicated to.
When you think that there are 52 weeks, plus opportunities every week at least once to gain more free bets with their ‘bet first half, get a free bet for the second half’ offer (which is never actually limited to the footy so I use for Cheltenham) and suddenly there’s over 500 quid just in Skybet free bets sitting there.
Plus a tenner each week from paddy power is another £500 minimum.
And Betfair this year have been doing ‘bet £10 in a day and get a £5 free bet each day’ which is easy atm with plenty of footy doubles to back. Another offer they’re doing is £20 on the exchange and get £5 free bet on the exchange.
Add all these up and I’ll have around £2000 in free bets on Cheltenham again - and that’s before any of the Cheltenham-specific offers that plenty of bookies do.
I genuinely think saving and using the free bet opportunities that are available makes a huge difference if used well.
