Curious as to how people use these Sky first race offers:-

For example

Would you use it on your strong fancy for the race which you probably have covered anyway OR would you use it for something higher in the market (double figures)?

AND

If you lose the first race bet would you use the 'free bet' on something relatively 'safe' or speculate?

Price and position related.

I've used it to top up on things I really fancy before, and I've used it to cover ones I hadn't backed.

Last year, Klassical Dream Supreme (one I fancied - early on, was 9/1)
In the Triumph went for Pentland Hills at a similar price (as a cover bet) and it drifted to 20/1 and won...

(not after timing, all my bets are on the forum)



I'd lean towards a cover bet, if it's cash back if you're wrong...

I'd want a return worth being returned though......
