We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Not so sure about Galvin as it's still likely to run.....I'd guess something said from "someone in the know" at a preview evening, interview for a publication or suchlike.
Agree that something appears to have happened today though.

For Galvin... one of those pieces of news is good.
The other, is baaaaad.
Very true. RP is very very good, but I am certainly not giving up hope Galvin could beat him. RP wants soft/heavy ground which he is unlikely to get at Cheltenham. He's never been to Cheltenham before. He jumps very low which is a blessing that can quickly turn burden. These three things over 3m6f could take him out his comfort zone, cause lets be honest, he hasn't really been asked to come out of it. He's the right favourite, but I wouldn't be in a rush to take his current price myself

Although Royale Pagaille is another bullet for me in the race, should he turn up, I would much prefer Galvin to beat him, and TBH it wouldn't surprise me if he did still.
I would have doubts about RP's stamina for now as well, not that he's looked like stopping in his last two starts, but both have been on flat tracks. I'm looking forward to seeing how he will get on at a stiff track on better ground over this trip. Unlike Galvin, his breeding doesn't scream that he'll be a stayer to me either, but that doesn't always work out how it initially looks.

Really don't get that personally
All of latest exhibitions best runs have been left handed
Really don't understand the RP decision. RR will have Monkfish to go after the GC with next season. Even if RP wins the NHC will he really care? If CPS loses the CC then he will no doubt still feel a bit deflated even if RP wins the NHC. But if CPS loses on the Wednesday at least he still has hope that come the Friday he may be celebrating his biggest win ever in a race he has been so close to hitting.

It's a strange one for me.
Maybe they don't think RP is as good as everybody else seems too
He can be quite a keen going horse, is he really going to stay 3m6f running like that?
And he will be going from flat tracks on heavy ground to an undulating track on gd to soft

Both the trip and the track are unknowns but if he hacks up in the NHC will they not rue going for the GC? If he bombs out in the GC would he have likely won the NHC? No imo. If he places in the gold cup or finishes a close enough 5th 6th will they regret not going and winning the NHC? Again no.
The more and more I think about this the less and less him going to the NHC makes any sense at all. Even if he does win. If CPS loses a day later the festival is a disappointing one for RR so why on earth bother?
I don't see your argument that he needs to go left handed. He's raced three times over hurdles/fences going right handed and has won twice and was second on another occasion, a race that Nolan said he ran him too quickly after his previous run and on bad ground (18 days and heavy ground).
Certainly no penalty kick the G1 at Fairyhouse, but as i've said before on here, outside of EA and Monkfish, I don't think there's a better novice chaser in Ireland and I'm sure they think that also - no shame being second string to them both. We could be on the doorstep of a golden age of staying chasers for the next 3-5 years hopefully.

No, why would they, if he's that good then he can have a crack at the Gold Cup next season, can't he? Not as if he's a 10 year old already.
