Yeah, and what I'm saying is he'll qualify and turn up having schooled around in a race which is similar effort to what some horses preps may have been at home?

or on Nicky's usual "away day" that he ain't doing this year...

Ruling Dickie Diver out for qualifying so close is not the way I'd see it..... there is a pertemps qualifier in 60 minutes and plenty have backed Dallas Des Pictons... how's that much different? Just faffing on a race course aren't they?

        I get you now.

Slightly disagree on the comparison with the pertemps though as they changed things round for this race specifically around welfare for young horses, but essentially you're kind of correct, no point discussing the 6 days difference or rescheduling etc.

edit - I understand now that you meant his chances of winning and not where I was coming from.

Yeah, it is different and over further, and fences.... but it could be a really small field, there are only 12 entered....

Only 4 of them rated 130+ (including him)...and the 2nd in, is Adjali, for the same trainer..... and he has another in there...

A couple aren't rated and two are 100 or less

It's schooling in public, behind Supremely Lucky who will win the race probably for the Skeltons....

          That's my bold prediction

I'd imagine it's not that much different to some of the 'serious work' some horses have to come through to be spot on for the festival?

365 suspending probably made people feel they made the right call..... but this does fit in with what Nicky had said all along (about not going for the tough Reynoldstown)....

Sorry I did mean the NHC Chase in terms of this race being close but also the lack of experience to win the Cheltenham contest.

Mine is that they've already sacked the NH chase off.
And he runs Friday at Newbury.

Yeah lack of experience is a fair enough stick to beat him with... 4th in an Albert Bartlett without much experience is somewhat encouraging.

I've got him at the bigger prices so I just see it as a good value bet, if he gets there on the day at a significantly shorter price.

Not everyone see's it that way though which is fair enough!

I wouldn't be cheering him on if he's mowing down Galvin after the last that's for sure.

                • Royal Pigale into 11-4 for this Race now will hill's . ( 2-1 with B365 ) and out to 11-1 for the gold cup . I wonder if they've made a decision ??.
A lot of movement though on Oddschecker at the moment .

Perhaps Galvin uncertainty has caused this, maybe a decision has been made. The ground will likely be better later in the week which must factor into their decision making process

                    • Could Galvin go to Willie? Owner has Stattler and had former winner of this, Rathvinden, with Willie. Willie doesnt have a standout runner here either.

Willie seemed fairly keen on Lord Royal for this in one of the stable tour write ups.

As his only qualified runner he would do!

                              • I’ve had a fair stake on him here at the 5/2 NRNB. Not ideal but reckon he’d be <6/4 if lining up.
