Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • Very rare for Gordon to run more than one in the NH Chase?

In fact, he's only done it once in the last 10 years.

In my opinion, he lines one up and it's a good'un. He had to switch last year and that second dart (Ravenhill) was still good enough...but that horse was going elsewhere and he was relying on Champagne Classic...

If something happened to Galvin, perhaps he'd draft something in... but I think Elliott has lined up Coko Beach for the Thyestes, and he's lined up Galvin for the NH Chase, he's not hidden it - doesn't need to.

He was beaten 59L & 38L lengths in races leading up to that (clear non trier) then lost 1L with Jack throwing everything at him, so I respectfully but strongly, disagree

Depends on the jockeys I suppose

Coko probably gigginstown highest rated novice staying chaser now.
Most likely for RSA, especially if amatuer jockeys back on board.

It is baffling me that people would see Galvin moving to a tougher race?

On what planet is Gordon doing that?

The only example I can think of was when they have a crack at the Champion Hurdle with Annie Power, and that is miles off similar to this.

Nothing wrong with taking 14/1 NRNB for Coko Beach here..... but likely money back, you'd think Irish National so no need to arse about with his mark going up?

                • I think we could all be getting too bogged down in a Cheltenham plan for Coko Beach. The Thyestes is a very prestigious race in its own right, and Im sure it would have been one Gigg would have targeted at the start of the season (as they always do). He's probably been campaigned around today and its now job done.

Think we can all be a bit guilty of looking at everything through a Cheltenham shaped prism.

Coko Beach has had a great season now and anything else would be a bonus.

I was just taking the mickey because I know so many are in deep on galvin

God knows where he runs now, maybe aimed at the irish national

I'm on coko any race but despite all the blue id say his chances of a win at the festival are way way way lower now than they were

Me too, although has admittedly ran well at Cheltenham before which I think shouldn't be overlooked.

....Assistant trainer has just said when asked about the 3m6f race and Cheltenham that it'd be the most obvious (that's not the exact quote)

Also mentioned the Irish National as a longer term target....

I've taken the 14/1 NRNB though for here, no reason not to.

Hopefully that will scare Royal Pagaille into going for gold!
